Google Classroom Sign-up

Due Tue Mar 31, 2020
Hello Everyone, I have made a Google Classroom for us. This seems to be the method of assigning and collecting homework during this time that is preferred by most teachers. And students should be familiar with it as well. As for the credit received for these assignments, it will be given on a credit/no credit basis. This means that, if the assignment is done in an acceptable manner, it will be entered into the grade book for full credit just for having done it. If any assignment is not done, it will not count against the student, and "NA" will appear in the grade book for that assignment. Each new assignment given will have “NA” (meaning not applicable) entered for all students immediately which will be changed once the assignment is collected and deemed to have been done acceptably. I have changed those assignments already posted to "NA's" for everyone, and I will fill those in with a score once the assignments have been collected and "graded." The intention right now is that all assignments will be posted for the students as an editable Google Doc. The questions will be in black font, and the students’ responses will all be in blue. There will already be some kind of blue text where the students’ responses are to be typed. All student work should still be each student’s own. There is a method of checking for plagiarism with this format. So, if I find that a student has simply copied and pasted answers from another student or from the internet into their own document, I will be contacting the student’s counselor concerning this incident. Here are the join codes for each period’s Google Classroom: Period 1: nuxpoiw Period 3: vhkgio5 Period 4: nuhw55l There is already an assignment posted. This is the first of the assignments that was posted when we first left school. I am asking that the students type their answers and submit their work through the Google Classroom assignment. After I see that this assignment has gone well, or what modifications need to be made, I will post the other assignments there too. Once these have gotten cleared, I will post some new assignments from new chapters of the book. I hope this helps. If there are any questions, please feel free to email me. My email address is p.hamilton@bonita.k12.ca.us. Sincerely, Mr. Hamilton

B-The Atom & The Periodic Table Review

Due Tue Mar 17, 2020
This is the first of the reviews that will be posted that the students can work on over this time to make sure that they stay strong with the subject. The students should be able to use either their books or notes from class to complete these reviews. The notes themselves should have all of the information necessary for them to do so.
