About Me
When I came to Bonita High School in 2006, there wasn’t a hospitality or ProStart program. I was given the task to build one from the ground up, with limited resources. For the first few years, I began working towards building a foundation and educating both the staff and students on what ProStart is, and how it can be beneficial. I wanted to start getting students interested and excited about the industry, to see the career possibilities. Being a part of the restaurant industry for 15 years, I began making partnerships with some of my industry contacts. It was important for me to make the industry come alive. I wanted them to see and experience all that the industry has to offer. I then began a partnership with CRAF. It is a result of that relationship that I have been able to take my program to the next level. In 2015 I took over the Intro to Foods class as well, where I have been able to introduce students to cooking and what the industry has to offer. I look forward to building a strong pathway for our students to excel.
In my spare time, I spend it with my family. My husband teaches the Hospitality ProStart program at San Dimas High School. We have 4 children (yes- 4!), Ethan 17, Abby 14, Luke 8, and Eli 7. Our family keeps us busy! We enjoy traveling, camping, cooking, and enjoying chaotic nights at home together.
