About Me
Greetings Bearcats! My name is Rene Gonzalez and I am one of your Assistant Principals. I have been in education for the past 27 years. Before becoming an administrator, I was a Spanish teacher. I enjoyed teaching tremendously and loved seeing my students progress with the language. I was also an activities director for many years as well as a coach for volleyball, softball and golf. I received my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Spanish from the University of Wyoming. I also obtained my Master's degree in Spanish Literature from the same university. Outside of BHS I enjoy spending time with my husband and friends. Sports play a huge role in our family and we enjoy watching our children play. I also enjoy traveling the world and learning about other people and their cultures. I am super excited to be here at Bonita and work with such a great community of students, staff and parents. I can't wait to see where this year takes us!
