STUDENTS
SOPHMORES AND JUNIORS- Attention College bound sophomores and juniors. Find out which college entrance test is right for you. Bonita High School will be offering an SAT/ACT Combo practice test on Saturday, January 28th from 9am – 12:45pm. Cost is $10.00. Find the application at the front desk and take it completed to the finance office to sign up. Space is limited and juniors will have priority. Sophomores will remain on a waitlist and get in only if space permits
STUDENTS- The list of Students who qualify for perfect attendance are now posted on the attendance windows. Please stop by and see if you are in the running for the big end of the year drawing!
SENIORS- Yearbook is now accepting senior dedication ads. Senior Dedication ads are a great way to personalize the yearbook. Please use the attached form or visit the school website. All payments for dedication pages are due December 9th to the Finance Office.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS- Bonita PTA Art Expo is here. The theme this year is “The Future through My Eyes.” This is a “contest” for students to have fun and show off their artistic abilities with original entries in the following categories: Drawing, Painting, Collage, Photograph, Writing, Dance, Film Production and Music Composition. Competition is split between 9th/10th, 11th/12th, and Best Buddies. Please see attached Art Expo rules. The deadline for the submissions is December 7th.

PARENTS
PARENTS- Bonita High School is in the midst of a self-study for the purposes of being accredited the by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). A WASC team of teachers and administrators will be visiting BHS in late January to assess our self-study. As part of the external evaluation, we are asking parents to participate in a “Parent Survey” whose results will be viewed by the visiting team. You can participate by visiting www.bonitahigh.net and look for the parent survey.
ACTIVITIES
D STREET- D Street is having a fundraiser at Red Devil Pizza on Tuesday, November 15 from 11am-10pm. Please stop by and support D Street and mention this to the cashier when paying.
RAMONA MIDDLE SCHOOL- Ramona’s 8th grade drama class will be performing the musical Bye Bye Birdie on Thursday November 17th and Friday November 18th at the Bonita Center for the Arts. The performance times both nights is 6:30 PM. Tickets are $5 for students through the 12th grade and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the student store before school, or they can also be purchase the nights of the performances at the theater box office.
PTSA- Bonita HS Personalized Pavers are now on sale for only $150 each. Have your name engraved on a paver for our “Walk of Fame” in the entrance of the school. Hurry, and purchase your spots in the original “Walk of Fame”! It is a memory that will last for years, so don’t miss out! They also make great Holiday gifts. COLLEGE & CAREER
VISIONARY SCHOLARSHIP- Students are invited to apply for our 2017-2018 Visionary Scholarship. All high school students (grades 9-12) are eligible to apply. ATHLETICS
JV & VARSITY FOOTBALL- will be hosting its banquet on Tuesday, November 29th at Hillcrest at 6 PM. Tickets are $25 each and are due to the Finance Office no later than Friday, November 18th.
WRESTLING- Tryouts will be from today, November 11th from 2:45-4:30 PM in the wrestling room.
BASEBALL- will be hosting their 1st Annual Golf Tournament and Banquet on Saturday, December 10th at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. There are 3 different types of sponsorships ranging from $150 per player to -$1200 per foursome. You can also purchase raffle tickets and sponsor in general. Please email Coach Lopez at sa.lopez@bonita.k12.ca.us for any further information or stop by the front desk for a tournament pamphlet.
GIRLS SOCCER- will hold a Parent/Player meeting for all Students who make the team Wednesday, November 16th from 6:15-8:15 p.m.
FIELD HOCKEY- End of the season banquet will be held at Sierra La Verne Country Club (Terrace Room) on November 16th at 6 PM. Each guest is $25 and must be paid to the finance office before November 8th.
WATERPOLO- will be holding its end of the season banquet at Hillcrest on Wednesday, November 30th at 6 PM. Tickets are free for anyone who purchased a spirit pack and $25 for anyone else wanting to attend. Please purchase tickets from the finance office no later than Friday, November 18th.
