STUDENTS

STUDENTS – Do you have an artistic talent? The La Verne Youth and Family Action Committee is in need of a new LOGO and is giving away prizes of $25, $75, and $250 for the top 3 submissions. Any La Verne student 19 years old or younger may submit a new design for a LOGO.  Please see an art teacher, or Mr. Hanson if you are interested in submitting a new design for the contest.  All submissions must be made to the La Verne City Hall, No later than December 14th.

STUDENTS – If you are interested in trying out for Golf please see Mr. Sanchez in rom 307.

STUDENTS – If you are one of the 605 students who qualify with perfect attendance there are only 98 days left to earn your chance to win a brand new Chevy Spark!! The perfect attendance list is posted in the front office, stop by to see if you qualify.  If your name is not on the list and you think that you have perfect attendance, please see Mr. Hanson.

STUDENTS – The JV/Varsity Football Banquet will on Wednesday, December 9th at 6:30pm at Hillcrest.  All players and persons in attendance need to purchase a ticket at the finance office.  The cost is $25.00 per person.  Those players that sold 4 or more items during the greenery sale will have a free ticket.  Please have your ticket purchased by Monday, December 7th.

STUDENTS – Baseball Tryouts will begin Monday, December 7th after school on the Varsity baseball field. You must have a 2.0 to tryout and bring proper baseball equipment to participate. See Coach Knott if you have any questions

SENIORS – Grad Nite 2016…..”A Nite at the Carnival” Thursday, June 9th 10pm-5:30am.Tickets $160.00.Questions: Debbie Moran 909/638-9247 debmoran3@aol.com

STUDENTS – The Girls Volleyball Banquet will be on Sunday, December 6th at 6:00 p.m. at Sierra La Verne Country Club.   Please purchase your tickets at the Finance Office.  Tickets are $22.00 per person.

PARENTS

PARENTS – First semester ends on Friday, December 18th.  Finals will be Thursday, December 17th and Friday, December 18th.  We will be on a minimum day schedule and students will be released at 12:00pm. Winter Recess is December 21st thru January 1st.

PARENTS – This holiday season you can send the Bonita High School Marching Band to serenade your friends, neighbors, or co-workers with a medley of holiday songs OR add some music to your own holiday party or family gathering.  Contact Mr. Bird at j.bird@bonita.k12.ca.us and see the attached flyer for more information and spread some holiday cheer!!

PARENTS – PSAT Result Night is Thursday, December 10th at 7pm in the new gym. If your student took the PSAT; you can review the test results, get an explanation of score reports, get info about test preparation, and ask questions about the many college entrance exams.

SENIOR PARENTSDon’t forget to submit and purchase your Senior Dedication Page for the yearbook.  Deadline is December 11th.  Order forms are available at the front desk or can be accessed on the school website:  Bonitahigh.net.

PARENTS – Bonita HS Personalized Pavers are now on sale for only $150 each. Have your name engraved on a paver for our “Walk of Fame” in the entrance of the school. Hurry, because there are only 12 spots left in our original “Walk of Fame”. We will install pavers once we reach our goal. Forms are available at the front desk. ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS AND PARENTS – this week we will begin our Time of Giving food drive.  We are collecting food for nearly 75 needy families in La Verne.  Please bring your donations ASAP.  Signs will be on classroom doors for specific items and a complete list will be up on the window outside 704 and on the attendance office window.
