STUDENTS

STUDENTS- Seniors and juniors, the last day to turn in your off campus lunch application is today, September 15th, applications will not be accepted until the end of the first quarter October 14th, 2016.

ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS- 4 more days to purchase Homecoming tickets! Homecoming will be Saturday, September 24th from 7-11PM at the Yost Theater in Santa Ana. Tickets are on sale for $55 per ticket with ASB/ $65 without until the end of the day, Friday. Ticket prices will continue to go up weekly. The last day to purchase tickets will be September 19th.

STUDENTS- sophomores to seniors…The Bonita Center for the Arts is the perfect training ground for any student interested in learning the skills to work backstage. Our vocational program trains students on state-of-the-art lighting, audio engineering, and stage production technology that is currently used in professional performing arts centers, touring music concerts, and amusement parks. If you’re interested in a career in an exciting and growing field of entertainment technology, this class is for you. We are currently enrolling students in the ROP Theater Occupations class. Please see your counselors or career center for details. ?

COLLEGE & CAREER

JUNIORS- The ACI Institute, a premier SAT Preparation school in Diamond Bar will award 10 SAT study-scholarships to selected students in the nearby communities. Students will have the opportunity to prepare for the January, March, and May 2017 SAT test. This study-scholarship is only valid at ACI Institute in Diamond Bar. Students that are applying should have a G.P.A. of a 3.5 or higher and plan on attending a 4 year college in the U.S. Application deadline is at midnight on October 1, 2016. VISIONARY SCHOLARSHIP- Students are invited to apply for our 2017-2018 Visionary Scholarship. All high school students (grades 9-12) are eligible to apply. More information is available in the Career Center or by emailing Mrs. O’Grady at ogrady@bonita.k12.ca.us.

 

PSAT Prep- Beginning October 1st, Kaplan’s highly-rated faculty will cover the most important PSAT content and tackle practice problems in 8 livestreaming, one-hour lessons for sophomores and juniors.  In addition, students will have access to online study content and detailed explanations to the official PSAT practice test. STUDENTS AND PARENTS- Friday, September 16th, is the last day to sign up for the PSAT.  The PSAT will be administered on Wednesday, October 19th during the school day on campus. 10th and 11th grade students may register at the finance office – cost is $28.   See attached for registration and detailed information.

 

 

 

 

 

ATHLETICS-

 

 

 

 

 

FOOTBALL- will be participating in the Touchdowns against Cancer to fundraise for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. All donations will go directly to the treatment and care for children effected by this horrible disease. SOFTBALL – There will be a player meeting today, September 15th during 2nd lunch in the new gym for any Students interested in joining the softball team. The meeting will go over tryouts and program expectations.
