STUDENTS

STUDENTS- parking passes will start being enforced today, Thursday, September 8th.

STUDENTS- in need of making up English credits, may apply for the After School English class for remediation of English credits.  Classes will meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays for 10 weeks starting Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 2:45 – 4:45.  Please note that this class is not college prep, please see front desk for applications.

PARENTS

BHS BOOSTERS- will be meeting this Thursday, September 8th at 6:30 PM in the library.

 

PTSA ASSOCIATION/ BOARD MEETING- will take place today, Thursday, September 8th immediately following the BHS Boosters meeting in the library.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

STUDENTS- 7 more days to purchase Homecoming tickets! Homecoming will be Saturday, September 24th from 7-11PM at the Yost Theater in Santa Ana. Tickets are on sale for $50 per ticket with ASB/ $60 without until the end of the day, Friday. Ticket prices will continue to go up weekly. The last day to purchase tickets will be September 16th.

 

COLLEGE & CAREER

 

VISIONARY SCHOLARSHIP- Students are not invited to apply for out 2017-2018 Visionary Scholarship. All high school students (grades 9-12) are eligible to apply. More information is available in the Career Center

 

AUTO- Citrus College will be hosting an automotive technology open house on September 21st. If you are interested in attending, please stop by room 305 and see Mrs. Englert.

 

PSAT Prep- Beginning October 1st, Kaplan’s highly-rated faculty will cover the most important PSAT content and tackle practice problems in 8 livestreaming, one-hour lessons for sophomores and juniors.  In addition, students will have access to online study content and detailed explanations to the official PSAT practice test. STUDENTS AND PARENTS-The PSAT will be administered on Wednesday, October 19th during the school day on campus.  10th and 11th grade students may register at the finance office – cost is $28; deadline is Friday, Sept. 16th.  See attached for registration and detailed information.

 

ATHLETICS-

 

FOOTBALL- will be participating in the Touchdowns against Cancer to fundraise for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. All donations will go directly to the treatment and care for children effected by this horrible disease. GIRLS SOCCER- There is a mandatory soccer meeting Friday, September 9th at 2:45 PM out on field 5 by the bin for any Student interested in participating this upcoming season.

 

SOFTBALL – There will be a Parent meeting on Tuesday, September 13th at 6:30 PM in the library for students interested in joining the softball team. There will also be a player meeting on Thursday, September 15th during 2nd lunch in the new gym for any Students interested in joining the softball team. Both meetings will go over tryouts and program expectations.
