Labor Day, September 5th; No School

STUDENTS

STUDENTS- Off campus stickers for 11th & 12th graders who submitted applications will be distributed this week. Seniors received their stickers on Wednesday and juniors will receive theirs today, Thursday, September 1st. We will have a makeup day on Friday, September 2nd for both grade levels. Students with stickers will be permitted to go off campus starting Tuesday, September 6th.

STUDENTS- in need of making up English credits, may apply for the After School English class for remediation of English credits. Classes will meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays for 10 weeks starting Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 2:45 – 4:45. Please note that this class is not college prep, please see front desk for applications.

STUDENTS- interested in becoming an after school tutor, please see Mrs. O’Grady in the career center during lunch.

PARENTS

PARENTS- Coffee with the Principal is this Friday, Sept 2nd, 8:00 to 9:00am in the Conference room. Please come and discuss topics on the BHS campus in open forum.

PARENTS – Please do not use Unified Methodist Church of La Verne’s parking lot for student drop offs or pick-ups.

PARENTS- We do not accept drop off items in the front office.

ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS- Homecoming will be Saturday, September 24th from 7-11PM at the Yost Theater in Santa Ana. Tickets are on sale for $45 per ticket with ASB/ $55 without until Friday. Ticket prices will continue to go up weekly and the last day to purchase tickets will be September 16th.

COLLEGE & CAREER

STUDENTS AND PARENTS-The PSAT will be administered on Wednesday, October 19th during the school day on campus. 10th and 11th grade students may register at the finance office – cost is $28; deadline is Friday, Sept. 16th. See attached for registration and detailed information.

ATHLETICS – In N Out will be bringing a cook out trailer for an athletics fundraiser this Friday, September 2nd during lunch. Mr. Baumunk will be selling tickets in his office for $7 per student (students only) for a burger, chips, and soft drink. Please stop by his office during lunch or break to purchase a ticket.
