STUDENTS

STUDENTS- Mrs. Sekhri in room 906 is still in need of classroom aide’s periods 1-6. If you are interested, please stop by 906 at lunch.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS – We do not accept drop off items in the Office.

PARENTS

PARENTS – Back to School night is Monday, August 29th. There will be a 9th grade Parent math meeting at 5:30 PM in the Student Union. Then at 6:30 PM there will be a parent meeting for all grade levels in the Ketterling Court Gym. Also, PTSA will be hosting a taco man and bake sale fund raiser from 5:30-8:30 PM.

PARENTS – Our first Compact day is Monday, August 29th; students will be released at 1:35 PM. We also have a minimum day on Tuesday, August 30th; students will be released at 12:00 PM.

PARENTS – Please do not use Unified Methodist Church of La Verne’s parking lot for student drop offs or pick-ups.

ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS- This week is spirit week leading up to our big Smudge Pot game! Make sure to show your school spirt and participate in all of our themed school spirit days.

Tuesday, August 23rd- “Dress like a Referee” or wear stripes day

Wednesday, August 24th- Twin Dress Day

Thursday, August 25th- Jersey Day

Friday, August 26th- Green Out Day

STUDENTS- Thursday, August 25th ASB will be hosting a bonfire night at 5 PM on the soccer fields. There will be Kona shaved ice and a taco man selling goodies as well.

STUDENTS- Homecoming will be Saturday, September 24th from 7-11PM at the Yost Theater in Santa Ana. Tickets are on sale for $45 per ticket with ASB/ $55 without. Ticket prices will continue to go up weekly and the last day to purchase tickets will be September 16th.

COLLEGE & CAREER

CAREER CENTER – Work Permits from last year will expire on Friday, August 26th. Any student who is currently working must renew their work permit by submitting a completed application to Mrs. O’Grady

in the Career Center by Wednesday, August 24th. Please pick up an application in the Career Center during lunch.

ATHLETICS – In N Out will be bringing a cook out trailer for an athletics fundraiser on September 2nd during lunch. Mr. Baumunk will be selling tickets in his office for $7 per student (students only) for a burger, chips, and soft drink. Please stop by his office during lunch or break to purchase a ticket. VARSITY FOOTBALL- will be hosting this year’s Smudgepot game at Citrus College Stadium this Friday, August 26th at 7 PM. Tickets go on sale today, Monday, August 22nd in the finance office. Admission prices are Adults $10, Children $7, and Students are free with BHS ASB card.
