“BHS NEWS”

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES– will take place on Zoom, Tuesday, March 8th, 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Each appointment is 10 minutes – last appointment is at 6:50 PM.  We encourage parents of students who are struggling in classes to communicate with their students’ teachers – there is plenty of time left in the semester to recover poor or underperforming grades.  Please go to our website, bonitahigh.net to register or use this link:

Students- Applications for Class Council and ASB for the 2022-2023 school year are due on March 3rd in room 704 (ASB room). If you have questions, see Ms. Pocino at break or 2nd lunch in room 704.

 

EVERYONE-  Our 9th Annual Auto Shop Car Show is Saturday, March 19th from 9am to 1pm in the student parking lot.  Please see flyer attached.

PARENTS OF 8TH GRADERS- Please join us at Bonita High School for Parent Information Night on Monday, March 7th.  Starting at 5:00 p.m. we will have a Sports and Activities Information Fair in the quad.  We will have representatives from each of our athletic and activity programs there to answer questions.  Families will be able to sign up to receive information on summer programs and gather information about the different programs.

At 6:15 p.m. there will be a general information meeting for parents and guardians in the gym.

 

 

SENIORS – The next Mt Sac’s APPLICATION Workshop will be on Thursday, March 24th during 7th period or for an hour after school (for those with a 7th period class) in the library. Bring your chromebook, and Social Security # (if you have one).

 

 

PARENTS/STUDENTS- Bonita USD has again partnered with Paper – this means students in grades 3 -12 now have access to on-demand, high-quality academic support 24/7. Through Paper, students can speak to a tutor anytime, anywhere for free. Students already have access through Clever, https://clever.com/in/busd.  See attached memo.

 

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- Our Peer Tutoring Hours are Monday – Thursday 2:45pm – 3:45pm (1:45pm – 2:45pm on Compact Days) in the Library AND Monday – Thursday 6:00pm – 7:00pm Via ZOOM!!

NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED!!! Just show up!!!

“SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS”

SENIORS- The La Verne Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2022 scholarship program is open for applications. Through the generosity of the members there will be over $5,000 to distribute this year.
The eligibility requirements have been updated this year to include 2022 graduating seniors whose primary residence is in La Verne or attend High School in the City of La Verne.  Please see the application attached with all the information.

“BHS ATHLETICS”

PARENTS- Athletic event tickets will all be sold ONLINE only. You can purchase your tickets from www.gofan.co and look up Bonita High School events. Tickets will be redeemed on your electronic device at the gate/entrance by our staff member.  You will need to show the actual ticket not a screen shot or picture.
