STUDENTS
STUDENTS- The Pre-ACT exam will be administered on campus on Saturday, November 16th .
SENIORS- The 2020 Young Legislators Program is open to high school seniors living in the 41st Assembly District. Applicants must commit to five monthly, 3-4 hour Saturday meetings starting in January 2020 and submit applications by today, November 13, 2019. PARENTS
PARENTS- We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our district. Bonita USD values input from our community – and we need to hear from your child(ren)! They are important partners as we work to improve our communication, academic program and overall experience for students and their families. See the attached document for more information and OPT OUT form.
PARENTS- We do not accept drop off or forgotten items in the front office and are unable to make exceptions. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the front office during break or lunch. We appreciate your understanding.
PARENTS OF SENIORS- If you would like to purchase a Senior Ad for the yearbook visit www.TheYearbookCompany.com. Space is limited. Early bird prices are until November 15th then prices go up. Final day for placing an order is December 13th. Thank you for supporting the yearbook.
CAREER CENTER
PITZER COLLEGE VISIT- A rep from Pitzer College will be visiting Bonita in this month. Please show your interest in this presentation by signing up with Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center. Pitzer College is a private residential liberal arts college in Claremont, California. One of the Claremont Colleges, the college has an emphasis on the social sciences, behavioral sciences, international programs, and media studies.
ULV VISIT- An admissions counselor from the University of La Verne will be here on Thursday (Nov. 14th) during 7th period. Sign up in the Career Center to attend the presentation.
FALL PLAY- Showings November 14th thru November 16th at the Bonita Center of the Arts. Show starts at 7:30 PM and cost is $10 per person. Students are $9 with ASB. Reminders: If you’re bringing the little ones, please be sure that they are 13 or older. Please see attached flier for more details.
BLOOD DRIVE- The Human Anatomy & Physiology classes will be hosting our annual City of Hope Blood Drive today, November 13th from 1:00pm – 3:00pm in the Student Union. We only have one blood drive this year instead of two, so this will be your only chance to donate on campus. If you would like to sign up you can go to this link: http://bit.ly/bonitablooddrive2019.
BASEBALL GOLF TOURNAMENT- Our BHS Baseball team will be hosting its annual golf tournament on November 16th at 8 Am at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Entry fees are $150 per person and include a banquet and a chance to win prizes!
ATHLETICS
TRACK PARENT MEETING- will take place on Thursday, November 14th at 5:45 PM in room 307 & 308.
WRESTLING- Wrestling practices are starting this week for all those interested in joining the team. We are looking for boys and girls of all sizes! Come on out and be a part of something special! Practices are from 3:30 to 6:00. If you have any questions, please stop by or contact Coach Froh.
BOYS WATER POLO- will be having their team banquet on Friday, November 15th at NewSong Church in San Dimas.
VOLLEYBALL BANQUET- will be November 18th at Mountain Meadows Golf Course at 6:30 PM.
GIRLS TENNIS BANQUET- will be taking place on Wednesday, November 20th from 6 to 10 PM at Sierra La Verne Country Club. Tickets are $25 per person and payable to the finance office. Please make checks payable to Bonita ASB. Ticket sales will end November 15th. We apologize in advance, but no late payments will be accepted.
FIELD HOCKEY BANQUET- will be November 20th at Mountain Meadows Golf Course at 6 PM.
CROSS COUNTRY- The Cross Country banquet will be held at Hillcrest on December 5th at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the finance office for $25/person. Families that purchased spirit packs will receive one free ticket for their athlete.
