STUDENTS
SENIORS- Dear Bonita High Seniors & Families – Congratulations to the Class of 2020! NOW is the time to order your senior announcements and cap & gown for graduation. Jostens will be hosting a family night order tomorrow, Wednesday, October 23rd from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Gym. If you cannot attend the family night order, Jostens will be on campus Thursday & Friday, October 24 & 25 during lunchtime in the Quad to assist you in placing your order. You can also order online at www.jostens.com or if you have any questions, you can contact us at 1/800-JOSTENS.
STUDENTS- The Pre-ACT exam will be administered on campus on Saturday, November 16th – cost is $23 and payable in the Finance Office until Nov. 6. See attached flyer.
SENIORS- The 2020 Young Legislators Program is open to high school seniors living in the 41st Assembly District. Applicants must commit to five monthly, 3-4 hour Saturday meetings starting in January 2020 and submit applications by November 13, 2019. STUDENTS- Mt SAC has free tutoring in Math & Science, Monday-Thursdays from 5:00-7:00pm. Please call the Mt. SAC office at (909) 274-4937 or see Mrs. Venegas at the front desk for more details.

SENIORS AND JUNIORS- Are you considering attending a college out of state and wish to learn more about some of the options? Bonita counselors are accompanying a limited amount of students to an Out of State College Fair in Diamond Bar today, Tuesday, Oct. 22nd. The bus departs at 8:00 am and it will be returning to school before noon. Space is limited, so if you are interested, please see Mrs. Nix as soon as possible to pick up a permission slip.
PARENTS
PARENTS- Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place Wednesday, October 30th, from 12:40 – 8:00 PM. These are 10-minute time slots that will give you an opportunity to get an update on your child’s progress in each class. PARENTS- We do not accept drop off or forgotten items in the front office and are unable to make exceptions. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the front office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.
PARENTS OF SENIORS- If you would like to purchase a Senior Ad for the yearbook visit www.TheYearbookCompany.com. Space is limited. Early bird prices are until November 15th then prices go up. Final day for placing an order is December 13th. Thank you for supporting the yearbook.
CAREER CENTER
TUTORS- The after school tutoring program is looking for students to be tutors Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. If you are interested in applying see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center.
UNIVERSITY OF REDLANDS- will be in the Career Center tomorrow, October 24th. Please see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center to sign up.
BASEBALL GOLF TOURNAMENT- Our BHS Baseball team will be hosting its annual golf tournament on November 16th at 8 Am at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Entry fees are $150 per person and include a banquet and a chance to win prizes!
WRESTLING FUNDRAISER- The wrestling team is having a fundraiser at the Chipotle in La Verne today, Tuesday, October 22nd from 5-9 pm. Come on out, have dinner, and support the wrestlers! Make sure to show them the attached flyer! Thank you!
HOMECOMING PERMISSION SLIPS- Permission slips for Homecoming are available today in the front office. Your permission slip will need to be completed and signed off by the library and administration before you can buy tickets. Tickets are currently on sale in the finance office. Tickets are $60 with an ASB card, and $65 without (3% will be added to all tickets purchased with credit card) until October 23rd. Permission slips must be cleared with the library and Mrs. Lindsay’s office in order to be considered complete and cleared to buy tickets.
HOMECOMING- will be at the Discovery Cube in Santa Ana on October 26th from 7 to 11 PM. Tickets include admission to the dance. Transportation and food is not provided.
ATHLETICS
TRACK- Anyone interested in going out for track this year, there will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday at lunch in the old gym.

SPORTS PHYSICALS- will take place today, October 22nd at 3:00 PM in the athletic training office. Please print the CIF physical form and health history completed with the parent/ athlete signature. Physicals will be $25 per student athlete.
