STUDENTS

 

STUDENTS –  Students are NOT TO PARK in the Roynan staff parking lot or across the street at Church of the Bretheran; vehicles will be cited and towed if they are parked in either of these lots.

 

STUDENTS & PARENTS-  We are no longer selling parking permits; the student parking lot is full.

 

PARENTS

 

PARENTS– We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the school office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS

 

ALL SENIORS – There are many scholarship opportunities available to seniors. Please see the attached Scholarship Newsletter and College Bound Scholarship 2019 document for the many available options as well as links to other sites offering help finding scholarships.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

Attention Bearcats: Prom 2019 is coming!  Join us for an enchanted evening on Saturday, May 25th.  Tickets go on sale next week. Be sure to get your tickets before prices go up.

Monday, April 22 – Friday, May 3 tickets are $75 with ASB and $80 without ASB and for guests.

Then, starting Monday, May 6 – Tuesday, May 21 tickets are $85 with ASB and $90 without ASB and for guests.  To purchase a guest ticket:

  1. The student must turn in their cleared permission slip.
  2. The student must turn in their guest’s cleared permission slip.
  3. The Guest permission slip must have an attached picture of their ID.
  4. All guest tickets are the without ASB price regardless of whether or not the student has an ASB card.

Permission slips are available at the front desk, Ms. Castro’s office and the ASB room starting Thursday, April 18th.

Be sure to get library clearance early because if you have fines they have to be paid BEFORE the last day to buy tickets.

 

SENIORS & PARENTS – Senior Day at Knott’s will be held on Monday June 3rd.  Enjoy an all you can eat lunch at Knott’s and enjoy the day with friends in the park. Ticket are being sold in the finance office for $80 until May 3rd. No tickets will be sold after May 3rd. Permission slips will be available on May 3rd and are due by May 17th and are to be turned in to the box at the front desk.

 

SENIORS & PARENTS – Grad Bash ‘19 will be held Friday, June 7th, at Universal Studios.  Tickets cost $120.00 – final day to purchase a ticket is this Friday, April 19th. Permission slip & medical consent form must be turned in along with payment (check or cash only) to the Front Desk or Finance Office. This is a private event for 2019 graduates only.  Please see attached flyer with all the details about this special event!

 

 

CAREER CENTER

 

STUDENTS – Cal Poly Pomona is hosting an Engineering Outreach Event on April 27, 2019. This event will showcase what Cal Poly Pomona can offer future engineering students as well as various engineering clubs. For more information see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center or email ogrady@bonita.k12.ca.us.

 

STUDENTS- After school tutoring is available Monday through Thursdays until 3:45 and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6-7pm. For more information please see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center.

 

STUDENTS- Please see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center to pick up work permits, tutor applications and sign up for college presentations during intervention and lunch.

 

ATHLETICS & SPIRIT SQUAD

 

All Girls water polo players and interested players, there will be a meeting on Tuesday April 23rd during lunch in the old gym. Come meet the new coach and get information regarding the summer season.

 

D STREET is hosting a dance clinic for kids 4 years old through middle school on Saturday April 20th with the performance on Tuesday April 22nd. See Mrs. O’Grady in the career center to sign up your family members. (See attached flyer)

 

SPIRIT SQUAD TRYOUTS are April 27th for cheer, song, and mascots. Applications are available at the front desk in the main office and also at www.bonitaspirit.weebly.com. There is a parent meeting on April 18th at 6:30pm in the Student Union.  Applications are due April 19th.

 

JV/VARSITY FOOTBALL  – 2019 season parent meeting is scheduled for April 17th at 7 pm in  the Student Union.
