AP STUDENTS & PARENTS – Students have received registration information for this year’s AP exams. Please read all the information on the green sheets and the process for payment of these exams. Registration is open until March 20th.
STUDENTS – Students that need help with their 2018 tax returns may see Mrs. Sekhri in room 906.
STUDENTS & PARENTS- We are no longer selling parking permits; the student parking lot is full.
FREE TAX HELP – If you had a job last year, get your taxes electronically filed FREE. Receive your refund within a few weeks. Mrs. Sekhri’s Accounting class is filing free tax returns for students and tax payers with income below $55,000. Get an intake sheet from Mrs. Sekhri and bring it in along with your W-2, Social Security card, and if possible, a copy of last year’s tax return along with any 1099’s you received.
PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the school office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.
ATTENTION SENIORS – First District PTA Commemorative Scholarship applications are available. Scholarships being awarded are in the amount of $750. Student eligibility: Must be a 2019 graduating high school senior, resident of California, current member of Bonita PTSA in good standing, and plan to attend a college, university, trade or tech school in the fall (2019). Deadline to turn in application is 3/22/19. (See attachment for more information and application).
ALL SENIORS – There are many scholarship opportunities available to seniors. Please see the attached Scholarship Newsletter and College Bound Scholarship 2019 document for the many available options as well as links to other sites offering help finding scholarships.
SENIORS & PARENTS – Grad Bash ‘19 will be held Friday, June 7th, at Universal Studios. The check-in time at Bonita is 1:30pm and the bus will return at approximately 3:30am. Tickets cost $105 until March 15th and will go up to $120 thereafter. Final day to purchase a ticket is April 19th and this event does sell out! Permission slip & medical consent form must be turned in along with payment (check or cash only) to the Front Desk or Finance Office. This is a private event for 2019 graduates only. Please see attached flyer with all the details about this special event!
STUDENTS & PARENTS – Next Thursday, March 7th, is the Iron Man competition. Come and watch as the Juniors compete against the Seniors in a volleyball tournament. Taco Man will be there from 5:30-7:30. The event is free with an ASB card, $2 without an ASB card, and $5 for adults.
Bonita High School PTSA Association meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30 pm in the Conference Room located in the main office. At this meeting the Executive Board for 2019-2020 will be voted into office. If you are a PTSA member, please come and vote! STUDENTS – Cal Poly Pomona is hosting an Engineering Outreach Event on April 27, 2019. This event will showcase what Cal Poly Pomona can offer future engineering students as well as various engineering clubs. For more information see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center or email email@example.com
SEEKING GUEST SPEAKERS FOR CAREER DAY – If you or someone you know are willing to participate in the March 27th Career Day event, please register on the Bonita website www.bonitahigh.net or contact Kelly O’Grady at firstname.lastname@example.org.
STUDENTS- After school tutoring is available Monday through Thursdays until 3:45 and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6pm-7. For more information please see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center.
STUDENTS- Please see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center to pick up work permits, tutor applications and sign up for college presentations during intervention and lunch.
BOOSTERS – The next Booster meeting will be held March 14, 2019. Booster meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
BONITA WRESTLING BANQUET – Banquet will take place on Thursday, March 14th, at 6:00pm in the Old Gym. The cost is $15.00 per person (wrestlers are free) and tickets may be purchased at the Finance Office. The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, March 13th.
GIRLS BASKETBALL BANQUET – Thursday, March 21st at 6:00pm, Girls Basketball will be hosting our end of the season banquet at the Hipwell’s Home. Tickets will be on sale in the finance office starting March 1st and be available through March 15th. Players and family members who want to attend will need to purchase a ticket, $12.00 per person.
BOYS BASKETBALL BANQUET – Banquet will take place on Monday, March 25th, at 6:00pm at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. The cost is $25.00 per person and tickets may be purchased at the Finance Office. The deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, March 18th.
BOYS SOCCER BANQUET – will take place on Monday March 25th at Mountain Meadows Golf Club at 6:00pm. Tickets are $25.00 and available for purchase at the Finance Office and must be purchased by March 15th. Tickets will not be sold at the door – no exceptions.
