STUDENTS

9th-11th GRADE STUDENTS & PARENTS- The PSAT Score Interpretation Night is tonight, Tuesday January 8th, at 6:30pm in the Student Union. Students and parents are encouraged to come to this meeting to find out what this score means.  Attendance is strongly encouraged for all students who took this exam in October.

STUDENTS –   Attention all juniors and seniors:  3rd quarter off campus passes will be distributed beginning Monday, January 14th outside the administration building.  Students must maintain a 2.0 gpa, have good attendance and clear all Friday Schools prior to receiving the off campus pass.  We will hold a Friday School on Friday, January 11th for any students who need to clear.

STUDENTS & PARENTS-   Any student that was absent on final exam days must take a make-up final exam on Wednesday, January 9th (for periods 1, 2 and 3) and/or Thursday, January 10th (for periods 4, 6 and 7).  These exams will take place in room P1 after school, or during period 7 for those with an open period.

STUDENTS – Important reminder to ALL STUDENTS…Please do not park at the Methodist church across the street from the high school. They have informed us that they will tow vehicles parked in their parking lot.

SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS- Since there are still openings for the SAT/ACT Combo test, 10th graders may now register for the practice test until all 70 seats are filled.  The test date is Saturday, January 12th at 9:00am at BHS. The $20 cost is a fundraiser for BHS with the help of Kaplan Test Prep.  Registration closes Jan. 10th. (registration form is attached)

PARENTS

JUNIOR PARENTS- Our plan is to again offer an on-campus Kaplan SAT Prep class, pending enrollment, starting in February on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  The class will end the week before the on-campus SAT exam for juniors on March 6th.  Because there is a reduced cost to this class ($360), we will need 25 students to register – first priority is given to juniors.  Registration closes on January 22nd or when we reach the required number of 25 students – see attached flyer.

PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.

PTSA

PARENTS- The PTSA Association meeting will be held Jan 8th at 6:00 pm.  Agenda items include Nominating Committee elections, Financial Report, and upcoming activities.  Members please come out and participate if you can.  We need a quorum of at least 15 members to conduct business.
