THANKSGIVING RECESS ~ November 19th to 23rd, 2018

STUDENTS

STUDENTS-  Don’t miss the semifinal football game at Damien; Friday, November 16th at 7:00pm.  Thursday there will be pre-sale tickets in the office and you may purchase at the game.  CIF prices are; adults $10; students and children $5; age 4 and under free.

 

JUNIORS & PARENTS-  Bonita High School will be administering only to juniors the S..A.T. exam with essay on campus on Wednesday, March 6th, 2019.  The school district will be picking up the cost of this examination.  Juniors who plan on attending a 4-year university are encouraged to take this examination – they must complete the attached registration by December 12th – must also be signed by the parent.   This is a one-time opportunity to take the S.A.T. exam at no cost to the student – this is only available current to 11th grade students.  See attached flyer for additional details. 

 

STUDENTS- Mt. SAC is offering  a dual enrollment opportunity for the FIRE 1 course.  This would be the first class needed in the Fire Certification and Technology Program and presents an opportunity to earn up to 3 CSU units free.  Please see the attached flier for details.

PARENTS

PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.

 

CAREER CENTER

 

STUDENTS- A Representative from Vanguard University will be here today, Thursday, during 6th period. Sign up in the career center at lunch to attend the informational meeting. Vanguard is a private Christian university of liberal arts and professional studies in Costa Mesa.

 

STUDENTS- After school tutoring is now available Monday through Thursdays until 3:45 and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6pm-7. For more information please see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center.

 

STUDENTS- Please see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center to pick up work permits, tutor applications and sign up for college presentations during intervention and lunch.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

DRAMA- Drama Department presents the classic musical Guys & Dolls! Show starts today and Friday, November 16th, and Saturday, November 17th at the Bonita Center for the Arts.  The doors open at 7 p.m. and the curtain will open at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $15 for BHS students with ASB, $17 for BHS students, and $20 for general admittance.

 

 

ATHLETICS

FIELD HOCKEY BANQUET-will be Friday November 16th at 6 PM at Sierra La Verne Country Club. Tickets are $25 per person. For players who purchased a spirit pack, your banquet ticket is included with that purchase.

 

CROSS COUNTRY- The Cross Country banquet will be held at Hillcrest on December 6th at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased in the finance office beginning next week for $25/person.  Families that purchased spirit packs will receive a free ticket.
