STUDENTS DISMISSED AT 2:35 PM all week

 

SENIORS APPLYING TO AZUSA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY- APU’s Admission Counselors wanted to reach out to extend a fee waiver for you to attend APU Preview on October 18-19. This is an amazing overnight experience where high school seniors can experience what their education can look like at APU. Getting on campus is by far the best way to do that. Here is the link, https://www.apu.edu/preview/. When you get to the payment page select the answer “No” to the question, “Would you like to pay now and help speed up check-in on event day?” You should be registered and good to go!

SENIORS- Make-up yearbook photos will be taken on campus in the library on Wednesday, October 17th. This is only the classic senior yearbook photo. If you are wishing to have the full senior package with different poses, please contact PSS Imaging at 714-630-7785.

SENIORS-  There will be a mandatory senior meeting Wednesday October 17th during 4th period in the new gym.  Students should report to 4th period before coming to the gym.  A panorama picture will be taken that day.

PARENTS

PARENTS OF SENIORS-If you would like to purchase ad space for your senior in this year’s yearbook, please visit the Bonita High School website and click the “parents” tab or visit www.theyearbookcompany.com for more information. Early bird pricing is until Tuesday, November 6th and space is limited.

PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.

 

CAREER CENTER

STUDENTS- The following schools will be visiting the Career Center this week. Please sign up with Mrs. O’Grady’s sub, Ms. Mireles-Torres if you are interested in attending their presentation. Keep your eye out for fliers with the list of schools coming for the month.

Tuesday, October 16th– Oregon State University; 6th

Thursday, October 18th– University of La Verne, 2nd lunch

STUDENTS- After school tutoring is now available Monday through Thursdays until 3:45 and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6pm-7. For more information please see Ms. Mireles-Torres in the Career Center.

STUDENTS- Please see Ms. Mireles-Torres in the Career Center to pick up work permits, tutor applications and sign up for college presentations during intervention and lunch.

 

ACTIVITES

 

COLOR GUARD FUNDRAISER- Hey Bearcats! Come out and support the Bonita High School Color Guard today,Tuesday, October 16th  at Red Devil Pizza in  La Verne.  Red Devil will give 20% of your purchase back to the program ALL DAY.  Mention the Bonita High School Color Guard and enjoy some great food from a local business.  Thanks for the support!

DRAMA- In November our Drama Department will present the classic musical Guys & Dolls! Dates for our show are Thursday, November 15th, Friday, November 16th, and Saturday, November 17th. Each evening, doors will open at 7 p.m. and the curtain will open at 7:30 p.m. at the Bonita Center for the Arts. Ticket cost is $15 for BHS students with ASB, $17 for BHS students, and $20 for general admittance.

BHS BLOOD DRIVE- We will be hosting a City of Hope blood drive on Tuesday, October 30th from 1:00pm-7:00pm in the Student Union. You can sign up online at idonateblood4hope.org  Use the code: BHSL

 

ATHLETICS

COLLEGE SIGNING DAY- Our Senior students who have committed to 4 year colleges will be signing their letters of intent on Friday, November 9th in the New Gym at 9:30 AM.
