STUDENTS

AP STUDENTS- All students taking an AP exam must attend a mandatory pre-administration meeting in the new gym according to the schedule below.  Students will hear important information about the upcoming AP exams and fill out the required paperwork for their first exam.   Attendance will be taken.

All seniors taking an AP meet in the New Gym during period 5 on Thursday, April 19.

All juniors and sophomores taking an AP meet in the New Gym during period 5 on Friday, April 20.

Freshmen in APEX will meet during their period 6 class in the Student Union on Wednesday, April 18th.

SBAC- All 11th grade students will be testing in SBAC Math from April 23rd to April 26th.  As always it is important that these students get a good night’s rest and a nutritious breakfast each day.  Students who are absent will be called in to take the exam during one of their other classes.   Also keep in mind that SBAC results are used to determine college readiness for California State Universities.

STUDENTS- Phase 2 Summer School class lists will be posted the week of April 23rd.

STUDENTS- Cheer Tryout Packets are now available in the front office.  Cheer tryouts are on Saturday, April 28.  Packets are due to Mrs. Kniss in room 203 by Monday, April 23.  See Mrs. Kniss for any questions.

PARENTS

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- Our Student parking lot is now full for the 2017-2018 school year. We will not be accepting any more parking permit applications or payments for parking permits.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- Bonita High School is now offering Saturday Academy.  Students can get additional assistance in classes you are enrolled in, recover instruction or get support on assignments that were not fully understood.  Course offerings will change each week, depending on instructor availability.  Be sure to check the web site weekly for classes offered. See flyer attached.

ACTIVITIES

HEART SCREENING- Bonita is hosting its second heart screening on Saturday April 21st from 9-3 in the new gym. Saving Hearts Foundation will screen any athlete from between 12-25 years of age. The screening provided is not performed in an annual preparticipation physical exam and may save the life of an athlete. Please preregister at savingheartsfoundtion.com and take advantage of this free cardiac screening.

SENIORS AND PARENTS-GRAD NIGHT UPDATE- We have two new updates regarding grad night.  Due to the overwhelming support by students and sponsors, we are lowering the final tier of pricing back down to $150.  In addition, we are changing the last day to pay to May 1st.  Please turn in your permission slip and payment to the finance office.  Checks should be made payable to Bonita Boosters.  The permission slip and all event details can be found in the attachment or in the front office.  Grad night is at Dave and Busters in Ontario, Thursday evening, June 7 starting at 10pm until 5:00am the next day.

SENIORS AND PARENTS- Knotts Senior Day is Monday, June 4th. Tickets are on sale in the Finance Office for $70 until March 30th. The ticket price increases to $75 on April 9th.  The last day to purchase tickets is April 27th.  This is a great day to enjoy a catered meal with your classmates and a day of fun at Knott’s Berry Farm.

SENIORS- the PTSA Bonita High School Scholarship Applications are now available in the Front Office and the Career Center.  Deadline to turn in applications is Monday, April 16, 2018.  See attached information.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- PTSA is hosting an E-Waste fundraiser on Saturday, April 21st, and Sunday, April 22nd. Please see attached flier for additional information. We appreciate your support.

PAVERS- PTSA is still selling Pavers. We will be ending this fundraiser soon. See attached flier for ordering.

PARENTS OF ATHLETES- the Athletic Boosters Board of Directors are looking to fill positions the 2018-2019 school year. This is a great opportunity to provide a valuable service for the athletes at Bonita. The election is at our May Booster meeting. Positions available:

  3. Ways and Means (Football Snack Bar)
  4. Special Projects
