SENIORS Your transcripts have been updated on the Parchment website to reflect the 2017 Fall Semester. To see the update, log into your Parchment account and choose the UPDATE option while viewing your transcript. Please see Mrs. Wences if you have any questions.

STUDENTS- Students if you need Free Tax Help, please see Mrs. Sekhri in Room 906.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- Bonita High School is now offering Saturday Academy.  Students can get additional assistance in classes you are enrolled in, recover instruction or get support on assignments that were not fully understood.  Course offerings will change each week, depending on instructor availability.  Be sure to check the web site weekly for classes offered.  To sign up, go to our web site.  See flyer attached.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. See the attached bell schedule for times.

PARENTS

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- the La Verne Church of the Brethren is sponsoring a College Application and Scholarship Workshop tomorrow, February, 17th, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in their library for sophomores and juniors. Please see attachment and bring your laptop if possible.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- the Finance Office will be closed tomorrow, Friday, February 16th. It will also be closed Friday, February 23rd thru Monday, February 26th. It will be open again on Tuesday, February 27th.

PARENT CONFERENCE DAY- Tuesday, March 6th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  Appointments may only be scheduled on-line at www.bonitahigh.net.  Appointments are 10 minutes each with the last one at 6:50pm.  If you need help, email, nix@bonita.k12.ca.us.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to check in with your student’s teachers or their Student Services Coordinator.

PARENTS- Our calendar has been updated, March 21st is now a regular school day and Wednesday, March 28th will be a minimum day for Career Day.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- Please be aware that some local high school students have been receiving phone calls with the preface of needing personal information in order to collect a scholarship. We are not affiliated with any organization that would be calling Students to gain personal information over the phone to provide financial aid. Please exercise caution when handling your financial aid and scholarship applications.

ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS-The ULV Science division is hosting a STEM presentation on the ULV campus on Tuesday, February 20th. The entire event is free. See attachment for more details.

PARENTS AND JUNIORS- NOW is the time to order your class ring!  Jostens will be hosting a family night Thursday, February 15th from 5:00–6:30 PM in the Library.  Jostens will on campus on Friday, February 16 during lunch in the Quad.  Packets were distributed last week but if you don’t have one you can pick one up in student activities or check us out on line at WWW.JOSTENS.COM.  Order now and you will get dollars off on your ring! PARENTS AND SENIORS- Congratulations to the Class of 2018!  Last chance to order your cap & gown, graduation announcements & senior gear.  Jostens will be on campus Friday, February 16 during lunchtime in the Quad to assist you in placing your order. If you don’t have a SPRING ORDER FORM you can pick one up in Student Activities or order online at www.jostens.com.  Questions, contact us at 1/800-JOSTENS.

SENIORS AND PARENTS- Grad Night will be at Dave and Busters in Ontario.  Spend one last time with your fellow classmates, Thursday evening, June 7 starting at 10pm until 5:00am the next day.  Cost is $130 up to February 23rd, then $150 up to March 22nd and $170 up to June 1st; check or cash only payable in the Finance Office to Mrs. Lohman.  Be sure to include your child’s name and grad night in the memo section.  All checks should be made payable to Bonita High School.  This is a private event for just Bonita High 2018 Grads.  Please see attached flyer for more information.

SENIORS- There are three great scholarship opportunities available to seniors who are current PTA members. First District scholarship applications are available in the front office or online at http://pta1.org/. All applications for the First District PTA scholarship are to be turned into the front office no later than Tuesday, March 23, 2018. SENIORS- the Rotary Club is sponsoring a $1,000 a year scholarship for all 4 years for a 2018 BHS graduating Senior. Please see Mrs. O’Grady in the career center to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

CAREER CENTER

STUDENTS- The next Mt. SAC Workshop is February 21st.  It is mandatory for students who want to receive priority registration to Mt. SAC.

CAREER DAY SPEAKERS NEEDED- Wednesday, March 28th between 9am-11am. Please contact Kelly O’Grady as soon as possible if you or someone you know would be interested in being a guest speaker. ogrady@bonita.k12.ca.us. RSVP no later than March 9th.

ATHLETICS

GIRLS WATER POLO- will be hosting their banquet on Monday, March 5th at 6:30 PM at Sierra La Verne Country Club. Tickets are $25 per person and need to be purchased in the Finance Office with Mrs. Lohman before February 23rd.

GIRLS SOCCER- will be hosting their banquet on Wednesday, March 7th from 7PM to 9 PM at Sierra La Verne Country Club. Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased with Mrs. Lohman in the Finance Office before February 23rd.

BOYS SOCCER ALL LEVELS- The year end banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 20th at 6pm at Sierra La Verne.  Cost will be $10 per player that purchased a spirit pack.  All other attendees will be $25.  The last day to make a payment is 3/8/18.  Please turn your money into the Finance office.  Checks payable to Bonita High and please write your child’s name in the memo section.

GOLF- For golf tryout information, please stop by and see Mr. Sanchez in room 307 at break or lunch.
