STUDENTS

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- SAT/ACT Mock exam will be administered to registered students this Saturday (tomorrow) at 9:00 AM in rooms 806-807.  Please bring two number 2 pencils and a calculator.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- There will be no school on Monday, January 15th as we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. School will resume Tuesday, with a Student release time of 2:35 PM for the remainder of the week.

SAT PREP CLASS- BHS and Kaplan Test Prep will be holding a SAT prep class in preparation for the March SAT here at BHS. The class will run Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting Tuesday, January 30th through Thursday, February 22nd. The deadline to register for the classroom SAT Kaplan course on the Bonita High campus will be Friday, January 12th. The cost is $360, a significant discount that we are able to offer only if we have 25 registrants.  If we are able to offer this course, it will start on January 30th.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. See the attached bell schedule for times.

PARENTS

COFFEE WITH THE PRINCIPAL- We will be meeting is today, January 12th from 8:30 AM-9:30 AM in the conference room for our monthly coffee with Mr. Ritchie.  Please come and discuss topics on the BHS campus in an open forum.

ACTIVITIES

E-WASTE EVENT- Did you get a new TV, Computer, Cellphone or electronics over the holidays? Or have one that doesn’t work? Come support our PTSA is tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday between 9am-3pm to recycle. See attached flyer for more details.

SENIORS- There are three great scholarship opportunities available to seniors who are current PTA members. First District PTA scholarship opportunity- $750 First District PTA 2018 Commemorative Scholarship. First District scholarship applications are available in the front office. Applications are also available online at http://pta1.org/. All applications for the First District PTA scholarship are to be turned into the front office no later than Tuesday, March 23, 2018.  California State PTA scholarship opportunities-1.    $750 Volunteer Service Scholarship2.    $500 Dr. Ralph E. CAREER CENTER

CAREER DAY SPEAKERS NEEDED- Wednesday, March 28th between 9am-11am. Please contact Kelly O’Grady as soon as possible if you or someone you know would be interested in being a guest speaker. ogrady@bonita.k12.ca.us. RSVP no later than March 9th.

ATHLETICS

GOLF- For golf tryout information, please stop by and see Mr. Sanchez in room 307 at break or lunch.

BOYS BASKETBALL- is looking for team managers. This will involve coming to games only.  Please see Coach Godley in room 706 at break or lunch if interested.
