STUDENTS
SAT PREP CLASS- BHS and Kaplan Test Prep will be holding a SAT prep class in preparation for the March SAT here at BHS. The class will run Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting Tuesday, January 30th through Thursday, February 22nd. Cost is $360.00 and space is limited. Deadline to register is Friday, January 12th. A complete schedule and registration forms are at the front desk with Mrs. Venegas.
JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES- Deciding between the SAT or ACT? Take Kaplan’s SAT and ACT Combo test to help you decide. The test is Saturday, January 13th from 9:00 – 12:45pm at BHS (Room 806 & 807). Cost is $20.00 and the deadline to register is Monday, January 8th. More information and flyers are at the front desk with Mrs. Venegas. Please keep in mind that juniors will have priority registration.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. See the attached bell schedule for times.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- Final Exam Schedule; Please note that all final exams will occur on the final two days of the semester, Thursday, December 21st (periods 1, 2, 3) and Friday, December 22nd (periods 4, 6 & 7) and both are minimum days with 12 PM release time. Students that are absent for legitimate reasons will receive an Incomplete and take a make-up final exam upon their return in January. Please avoid making any plans to start vacations early.
PARENTS AND STUDENTS- Monday, November 27th is a compact day. Students will be released at 1:35 PM.
PARENTS- Winter break will be observed from Monday, December 25th thru Friday, January 5th.
PARENTS- Please remember we do not release 9th and 10th graders over the phone, you must come into the office with your driver’s license or proof of I.D. To call out an upper classmen, 11th & 12th grade student, you may call Mrs. Zago in attendance at extension 2040.
PARENTS OF SENIORS- If you would like to submit a yearbook dedication for your senior please visit www.TheYearbookCompany.com. Or the school website under the parent tab. Pricing and page sizes are available online via that website. Please select Bonita High School and enter our phone number, 909-971-8220. Don’t delay, as space is limited.
PTSA
PTSA- members have been called for a special Association meeting to approve the 2017-2018 budget on Monday, November 27th at 1:45pm in the conference room located in the main office. There is a 15 member minimum for quorum so please attend if at all possible. We will be sure to keep the meeting short.
ACTIVITIES
5th ANNUAL TOY DRIVE SOFTBALL GAME- Please come out and join us for our annual charity toy drive game on Wednesday, November 29th at Wheeler Park. Our first game will be at 5 PM when the BHS Staff will take on this year’s BHS Seniors. The next game to follow will be at 6:30 when the LV Police Department take on the LV Fire Department. The championship game will be played at 8 PM. Admission to the game is an unwrapped/ new toy of $5 or more or a $5 donation at the door. All toys will be donated to the “Sparks of Love Toy Drive” put together by the La Verne Fire Fighter Association and the monetary donations will be donated to the La Verne Police Association to help purchase food for Holiday food baskets that are handed out throughout our city. Come out and have some fun and donate to a neighbor in need!
2nd Annual Bonita Baseball Golf Tournament- Boy’s Baseball will be hosting our annual golf tournament on Saturday, December 9th at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Please come and enjoy a nice day of golf and support our Bearcats! Please see the attached flyer for details. Flyers are also available at the front desk with Mrs. Venegas.
CAREER CENTER
STUDENTS- the Mt.SAC Connect 4 program will start on Wednesday, December 13th. Students who are interested in applying to Mt.SAC can attend all the sessions to receive priority registration. Registration and Schedules are available on the Bonita Website on the Career Center page.

ATHLETICS
FRESHMAN FOOTBALL- will be hosting freshman awards night on Tuesday, November 28th in the Student Union at 6:30 PM. Players should be dressed nicely, shirt and tie or nice dress shirt. Please RSVP as soon as possible at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0445aea723a1fc1-freshman1.
JV AND VARSITY FOOTBALL- will be hosting their 2017 JV and Varsity Football awards night at Hillcrest La Verne on Thursday, November 30th at 6 PM. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased with Mrs. Lohman in the finance office before Tuesday, November 28th. As a reminder, players must be dressed nicely, shirt and tie or nice dress shirt.
CROSS COUNTRY- banquet will be held on Friday, December 1st at 6:30 PM at Hillcrest in La Verne. Banquet tickets are now being sold in the Finance Office with Mrs. Lohman for $20 per person. Athletes who made a spirit pack donation will receive one discounted ticket for $5. Tickets must be purchased before Friday, November 17th.
BOYS BASEBALL- will be holding tryouts on Monday, December 11th– Friday, December 15th from 2:45 PM- 4 PM on the Varsity Baseball field.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL– banquet will be on Tuesday, November 28th at 6 PM at Mountain Meadows Golf Course. Tickets are $22 per Family member or guest and are available for purchase in the Finance Office with Mrs. Lohman. Payment is due by Wednesday, November 15th.
