                  Monday, May 29, 2017 – Memorial Day, No School
STUDENTS
STUDENTS- Any Junior, Sophomore or Freshmen with overdue Library books or Textbook fines will NOT be able to pick up their Yearbook until you take care of your obligations. Please turn in all Library books and take care of any fines, to clear your accounts.
STUDENTS & PARENTS- The last day of school is Thursday, June 8th. On Wednesday, June 7th and Thursday, June 8th we will be on minimum block schedule for finals, student release time is: 12:00 p.m.
STUDENTS & PARENTS- Get a Bonita High School personalized paver for a special price of $150 (each), now through the end of June. You can have your name, special message or business, etc. four lines max with up to 16 characters per line. Make checks payable to Bonita High PTSA. For more information and a flier, please stop by the receptionist desk.
STUDENTS- Our World, A Day of Empowerment for Girls Workshop (Grades 6-12) is on Wednesday, May 31st at Lone Hill Middle School, from 3:00pm-6:30pm. Pizza party and check in is at 2:30 pm and the event is FREE. For more information and a permission slip, please stop by the receptionist desk.
STUDENTS- The Kaplan SAT review course scheduled for this summer is now full. Please see your counselor for other SAT Prep options.
SENIORS- This is a great scholarship opportunity for all graduating seniors living in California’s 41st State Assembly district. STUDENTS- Final summer school lists are posted on the attendance office windows.
STUDENTS- D STREET Tryouts will be June 1-3. Applications are now available in the forms section of the Bonita website and at www.dstreetdance.weebly.com.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS-The Finance office will no longer accept checks as of April 28th for the remaining of the school year. All items must be paid with cash or credit card. If you are a returning student and are purchasing a spirit pack checks will still be accepted.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/ forgotten items in the front office.
PARENTS
PARENTS- Coffee with the Principal will be this Friday, June 2nd at 8:00am in the Conference room.  Please come and discus topics on the BHS campus in an open forum.
PARENTS- Summer School 2017 will be held from June 12th- July 14th from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will not be holding classes on Tuesday, July 4th as we will be observing Independence Day. Students are only allowed 3 full day absences before being dropped from the program.
PARENTS- Just as a reminder, there is no parking or drop off/pick up in the staff parking lot as they are assigned parking spaces.
ACTIVITIES
STUDENTS- Yearbook distribution will be afterschool Tuesday, May 30th for seniors and Wednesday, May 31st for the rest of the school.  Anyone who has not purchased a yearbook can purchase them through the finance office for $120 (cash only) on those days.
STUDENTS-The Drama Banquet is Saturday, June 3rd at 5:00 p.m. in the Student Union. Tickets are $10.00 per person.  Last day to purchase is Friday, June 2nd during lunch. The Finance office only accepts cash.
ATHLETICS
PARENTS- There will be a wrestling parent meeting this Thursday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the old gym.
STUDENTS & PARENTS- Our wrestling summer program will be practicing on Tuesday and Thursdays from 1:00 – 3:00 pm in the wrestling room. Wednesday night’s we will attend a summer league at Northview HS from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. We will meet at Bonita HS at 5:30 pm to carpool over together.
STUDENTS & PARENTS- The softball banquet will be held this Thursday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. at Sierra La Verne. The cost for each player is being covered by the program. Any additional family members can be paid for at the finance office for $15 each.
