Adam Archibald: 2017 Teacher of the Year

At Bonita High School, we are extremely pleased and proud to present Adam Archibald as our 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year.  Mr. Archibald is an outstanding teacher who provides the highest quality education for his students, inside the classroom and beyond.

In his role as an English teacher, Mr. Archibald consistently provides his students with engaging and rigorous learning opportunities.  He challenges his students to utilize critical thinking and analysis as they apply their learning to real-world experiences.  He has shown an innate ability to assess the needs and challenges of his job as he takes on the leadership responsibilities to make sure the outcomes are realized with high quality implementation. He has a deep understanding of his duties and consistently provides an outstanding work product.

In addition to his outstanding performance in the classroom, Mr. Archibald sets an excellent example of leadership and dedication to teaching in many other ways.  He is our English department chair as well as our PACE coordinator.  Each year he challenges himself and his department to be reflective in their practice as they focus on individual continual improvement.   This year, he has also taken on the role of WASC focus group leader, which requires a great deal of time and energy.   He also led our Gold Ribbon Committee, guiding Bonita High School to statewide recognition for academic excellence.  His level of professionalism and leadership in each of these roles exceeds expectations on a consistent basis.

Mr. Archibald is a person that is highly respected by all that know him.  He is an excellent teacher, a visionary leader, and an exceptional part of our Bonita family.  We are honored to have him represent Bonita High School as our Teacher of the Year.
