STUDENTS

STUDENTS- The Kaplan SAT review course scheduled for this summer is now full. Please see your counselor for other SAT Prep options.

SENIORS- This is a great scholarship opportunity for all graduating seniors living in California’s 41st State Assembly district. Assembly member Chris Holden of the 41st district is one of the backers of this scholarship opportunity.  Go to the following link to learn more. STUDENTS- The “Cool to be in School” contest car give away announcement will be on Saturday, May 20th at the Glendora Chevrolet at 9:00 a.m. There are currently 86 BHS students who have perfect attendance and qualify for the car give away. The perfect attendance list is posted in the front office window.  If your students name is not on the list, and you think that he or she should have perfect attendance, please see Mr. Hanson.

STUDENTS- Our World, A Day of Empowerment for Girls Workshop (Grades 6-12) is on Wednesday, May 31st at Lone Hill Middle School, from 3:00pm-6:30pm. Pizza party and check in is at 2:30 pm and the event is FREE. For more information and a permission slip, please stop by the receptionist desk.

STUDENTS- Final summer school lists are posted on the attendance office windows.

STUDENTS- Test Prep for upcoming June SAT or ACT:

National Practice Test Weekend

Take a free SAT vs. ACT Combo Mock Test and see which exam is right for you. Join Kaplan on May 20th or May 21st to try both tests in a Live Online setting. Register at www.kaptest.com/practicetestweekend

This is a great opportunity for rising juniors to get an early sense of which test to prep for and rising seniors can pick a test to take again before submitting applications.

STUDENTS- D STREET Tryouts will be June 1-3. Applications are now available in the forms section of the Bonita website and at www.dstreetdance.weebly.com.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS-The Finance office will no longer accept checks as of April 28th for the remaining of the school year. All items must be paid with cash or credit card. If you are a returning student and are purchasing a spirit pack checks will still be accepted.

SENIORS AND PARENTS- Graduation is Wednesday, June 7th at 6:00pm at Glenn Davis Stadium.  The gates will open at 5:00pm.  Each senior will receive six tickets.  If you need more tickets have your senior ask a fellow senior for an extra ticket or at 6:00pm the gates will be opened and guests without a ticket can enter and sit in seats provided at the west end of the field.  There is handicap seating for guests with a ticket and one person from your group may sit with them.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/ forgotten items in the front office

 

PARENTS

PARENTS- Summer School 2017 will be held from June 12th- July 14th. We will not be holding classes on Tuesday, July 4th as we will be observing Independence Day. Students are only allowed 3 full day absences before being dropped from the program.

PARENTS- Just as a reminder, there is no parking or drop off/pick up in the staff parking lot as they are assigned parking spaces.

 

ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS- Yearbook distribution will be afterschool Tuesday, May 30th for seniors and Wednesday, May 31st for the rest of the school.  Anyone who has not purchased a yearbook can purchase them through the finance office for $120 (cash only) on those days.

STUDENTS-The Drama Banquet is Saturday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. in the Student Union. Tickets are $10.00 per person.  Last day to purchase is Friday, June 2nd during lunch. The Finance office only accepts cash.

 

ATHLETICS

STUDENTS & PARENTS- There will be a wrestling parent meeting next Thursday, May 25th at 6:00 p.m. in the old gym.

STUDENTS- The track banquet will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 6:00 p.m. in the new gym. Tickets are $10.00 per family and payments are to be made in the finance office. Cash only.

STUDENTS- If you are interested in trying out for Volleyball, try outs will be on Monday, May 22nd and Wednesday, May 24th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00.
