STUDENTS– Our World, A Day of Empowerment for Girls Workshop (Grades 6-12) is on Wednesday, May 31^st at Lone Hill Middle School, from 3:00pm-6:30pm. Pizza party and check in is at 2:30 pm and the event is FREE. For more information and a permission slip, please stop by the receptionist desk.

STUDENTS– There are currently 100 BHS students who have perfect attendance and qualify for the “Cool To be in School” contest car give away. The perfect attendance list is posted in the front office window.  If your students name is not on the list, and you think that he or she should have perfect attendance, please see Mr. Hanson.

STUDENTS– D STREET Tryouts will be June 1-3. Applications are now available in the forms section of the Bonita website and at www.dstreetdance.weebly.com.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS–The Finance office will no longer accept checks as of April 28^th for the remaining of the school year. All items must be paid with cash or credit card. If you are a returning student and are purchasing a spirit pack checks will still be accepted.

SENIORS AND PARENTS- Graduation is Wednesday, June 7^th at 6:00pm at Glenn Davis Stadium.  The gates will open at 5:00pm.  Each senior will receive six tickets.  If you need more tickets have your senior ask a fellow senior for an extra ticket or at 6:00pmthe gates will be opened and guests without a ticket can enter and sit in seats provided at the west end of the field.  There is handicap seating for guests with a ticket and one person from your group may sit with them.

SENIORS– Senior Day at Knotts is Monday, June 5^th.  Tickets are on sale in the finance office for $75 which includes an all you can eat lunch, entrance to the park and transportation to and from the park.

STUDENTS– Looking for ways to prepare for the SAT?  Kaplan test prep and BHS are offering an SAT class this summer in preparation for the August SAT.  The class will run Tuesdays and Thursdays June 13^th through July 11 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm here at BHS. Cost is $360.00. The class runs after summer school classes so you can go to summer school and take the SAT prep class! Pick up a registration form at the front desk and take to the finance office to sign up. Space is limited. Deadline to apply is Friday, May 19^th

STUDENTS– Kaplan is offering the following resources to prep for the upcoming ACT and SAT

Students: Take a free SAT or ACT pop quiz, 20-minute workout, or proctored practice test online, and Kaplan will donate Kaplan course scholarships to students through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. http://ktp.events/hvlaie

STUDENTS AND PARENTS– We do not accept drop off/ forgotten items in the front office.

PARENTS– Summer School 2017 will be held from June 12^th– July 14^th. We will not be holding classes on Tuesday, July 4^th as we will be observing Independence Day. Students are only allowed 3 full day absences before being dropped from the program.

PARENTS– Just as a reminder, there is no parking or drop off/pick up in the staff parking lot as they are assigned parking spaces.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS– Prom will be Saturday, May 13th, at the Promenade and Gardens in Costa Mesa from 7:00 – 11:00 pm.  Permission slips are available at the front desk.  Tickets prices are $70 per person with ASB and $75 per ticket without ASB.  To get the ASB price students must have their student ID card. Prices will go up to $80 on Tuesday, May 9th.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Lindsay.

STUDENTS & PARENTS– The Swim Banquet is Friday, May 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Hillcrest.  Tickets are $25.00 per person, swimmers that earned a free ticket the list will be in the Finance office.  Last day to purchase is Wednesday, May 17th, the Finance office only accepts cash.

ATTENTION NOVICE SWIMMERS– Our season is over so come celebrate with the Fun Relays and a Pizza Banquet afterwards on Wednesday, May 10 at 3:00pm-5:30pm at the pool. Please come enjoy the end of the season with your fellow team mates and coach(s).
