Monday, March 6, 2017 Compact Day, Release Time 1:35 p.m.

STUDENTS
STUDENTS- who took the ASVAB: Results will be interpreted 1st period in the Library on Friday, March 3rd.
STUDENTS- If you need Free Tax Help, please see Mrs. Sekhri in Room 906.
STUDENTS- There are currently 133 BHS students who have perfect attendance and qualify for the “Cool To be in School” contest car give away. The perfect attendance list is posted in the front office window. If your students name is not on the list, and you think that he or she should have perfect attendance, please see Mr. Hanson.
SENIORS- It is now time to register for Grad Nite. Grad Nite will be held at a secret location on the evening of graduation, June 7th. Students will meet back at Bonita at approximately 10:00 pm for an overnight party and will be returning at 5:30 AM. This final evening spent as classmates will include, food, drinks, and fun! Tickets are on sale at the Finance Office for $150 per ticket if purchased before April 1st. Informational flyer is attached. Questions? Email bhsgradnite2017@gmail.com
SENIORS- Senior Breakfast will be held at Knott’s Berry Farm on Monday, June 5th. Tickets are on sale in the Finance Office for $70 per Student and includes transportation and a day at the theme park.
STUDENT AND PARENTS – Our Spring Musical (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) show dates are: March 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. The show starts firmly at 7:30 p.m. Ticket Prices are as follows: $13 – Students w/ ASB, $14 – Any student w/ a valid school ID, $15 – General Admission.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS- The 6th Annual Regional High School Art Exhibition will take place from March 4th-30th. Their art work has been selected to be on display at the Millard Sheets Art Gallery located at the Fairplex. Opening Reception Awards Ceremony is on Saturday, March 4th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/ forgotten items in the front office.

PARENTS
PARENTS- Parent Information Night for the class of 2021 will take place on Wednesday, March 15th in the Ellsworth Green Gymnasium. At 5:00 p.m. there will be a sports and activities informational fair, sign ups to receive information on summer programs and Taco Man. At 6:30 p.m. in Ketterling Court Gymnasium will be the following: Get acquainted with Bonita, receive more information about our Extraordinary School, answer your registration questions and meet your child’s counselor.

PARENTS- Teacher Conferences are Tuesday, March 7th, 5:00-6:45pm. You may schedule your own appointments by visiting our website; www.bonitahigh.net . Appointments are 15 minutes each and are available between the hours of 5:00pm to 6:45pm. You may email Mrs. Nix, nix@bonita.k12.ca.us if you need help. Wednesday, March 8th will be a minimum day schedule.
PARENTS- Spring recess is April 3rd- April 7th. Students will return to school on Monday, April 10th which is a compact day, 1:35 PM release.
PARENTS- Summer School 2017 will be held from June 12th- July 14th. We will not be holding classes on Tuesday, July 4th as we will be observing Independence Day. Students are only allowed 3 full day absences before being dropped from the program.
PARENTS- Just as a reminder, there is no parking or drop off/pick up in the staff parking lot as they are assigned parking spaces.
CAREER CENTER
STUDENTS- There will be a Citrus College Workshop this Friday, March 3rd, 6th through 7th periods for seniors interested in attending. Sign up with your counselor. More information is available in the Career Center.
STUDENTS- Mt. SAC Connect 4 Program will begin on March 13th. Students who complete the program will receive priority registration. A full schedule is available in the Career Center.
STUDENTS- Career Day will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd. Please check out the list of available sessions posted outside the 700s building. Plan ahead which 4 sessions you would like to attend. Registration for Career Day begins next week. Seniors will register on Monday, juniors on Tuesday, sophomores on Wednesday, and Freshmen on Thursday. It is mandatory to register for 4 different sessions on your assigned registration date. For more information see Mrs. O’Grady.
ACTIVITIES
JUNIORS AND SENIORS- Prom will be held Saturday, May 13th at the Huntington Harbour Yacht Club. There will be more details to follow.
ATHLETICS
TRACK- Practice is Monday thru Friday from 3-5pm at the track.
