STUDENTS

STUDENTS- Are you moving over the holidays or changing schools? Please come see the school Registrar to help with your transition to your new school.

SENIORS- be sure to take advantage of PTA scholarship opportunities. There are three levels of PTA scholarships available to you at the state level, district level and here at Bonita High School. Deadlines are approaching fast. Applications can be picked up in the career center or online at the following links.

$750 Volunteer Service Scholarship. Deadline February 1, 2017, $500 Dr. Ralph E White Graduating Senior Scholarship.

First District PTA scholarship: www.pta1.org Deadline for submission is February 28, 2017 to the Bonita High School Career Center.

Bonita High School PTSA scholarship: Information will be posted in the bulletin and career center January 2017.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/ forgotten items in the front office.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- Today, December 23rd is a minimum day for finals with a 12 PM release time. Today students will attend 4th, 6th, and 7th period. Winter recess will be from December 26th– January 6th.  Students will return to school on January 9th which is a Compact Day with a release time of 1:35 PM.  See schedule below for times for both days.

Period 4- 7:40 AM-8:57 AM

Break #1- 8:57 AM-9:07 AM

Period 6- 9:12 AM-10:29 AM

Break #2- 10:29 AM- 10:39 AM

Period 7- 10:44 AM-12:00 PM

PARENTS

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- the finance office will be open during lunch, break, and after school today.

PARENTS- Just as a reminder, there is no parking or drop off/pick up in the staff parking lot as they are assigned parking spaces.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS- Cell phones may be used on the BHS campus only before or after school hours, and during break or lunch, or passing periods. Use of such a device at any other time, or if it causes a classroom disruption, will result in confiscation.  This includes if you are out of class during class time. If seen, Campus supervisors will confiscate your phone.

ACTIVITIES

DRESS WEEK- ASB will be scanning ID cards for class points next week so come dressed to participate!

Friday, December 23rd– Ugly Holiday sweater day

NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE- We would like to thank everyone who has shown their support to Jeweliett and the Mejia Family. Our pass the bucket fundraiser donated over $800 to help Jeweliett fight this difficult challenge! You can read more about Jeweliett’s fight and donate at https://www.gofundme.com/uu-mejia-family. Again, we thank you and asked for your continued support as Jewels keeps showing her Bearcat grit in this important life battle.

PTSA- ‘Tis the season to buy a paver… FA LA LA LA LA!!! Last few days to be able to purchase the forever mark at the school, for the low cost of $150. ATHLETICS

VOLLEYBALL- Will be hosting their banquet at Hillcrest at 6 PM on January 16th. Tickets are $25 per person and on sale in the Finance office until December 23rd.
