NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE- Our student, Jeweliett Mejia was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (A.L.L) this past month and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments. As you can imagine, her diagnosis was very sudden and unexpected as were the medical bills that her family is now acquiring. Jeweliett’s family has set up a go fund me page and are looking to raise funds to help with her medical expenses. You can read more about Jeweliett’s fight and donate at https://www.gofundme.com/uu-mejia-family. We are hoping we can all come together as the Bearcat Family and show our support for Jeweliett as she continues to show grit and fight hard to overcome this disease! Also, there will be an upcoming fundraiser on behalf of Jeweliett on the evening of December 20th at our Varsity Basketball games. Please keep an eye out for details to follow.
