STUDENTS

STUDENTS – Wednesday is class color dress day.  Seniors wear orange, juniors wear red, sophomores wear purple and freshmen wear blue.  Class t-shirts are available in the student store for $10.  We will be having class color days twice a month as we head toward Action Night.

STUDENTSThe French club will be sending shoes to families in Haiti through the Charity Soles for Souls.  If you have any used unwanted shoes please bring them by Room 606.

STUDENTS – Do you have an artistic talent? The La Verne Youth and Family Action Committee is in need of a new LOGO and is giving away prizes of $25, $75, and $250 for the top 3 submissions. Any La Verne student 19 years old or younger may submit a new design for a LOGO.  Please see an art teacher, or Mr. Hanson if you are interested in submitting a new design for the contest.  All submissions must be made to the La Verne City Hall, No later than December 14th.

STUDENTS – The JV/Varsity Football Banquet date has been changed to this Thursday December 10th at 6:30pm at Hillcrest.  All players and persons in attendance need to purchase a ticket at the finance office.  The cost is $25.00 per person.  Those players that sold 4 or more items during the greenery sale will have a free ticket.  Please have your ticket purchased by today.

PARENTS

PARENTS PSAT Result Night for Thursday, December 10th has been canceled and will be now be Monday January 25th.

PARENTS – Coffee with the Principal will be this Friday, December 11th, 8am to 9am in the conference room.  Come and discuss topics on the BHS campus in an open forum.

PARENTS – First semester ends on Friday, December 18th.  Finals will be Thursday, December 17th and Friday, December 18th.  We will be on a minimum day schedule and students will be released at 12:00pm. Winter Recess is December 21st thru January 1st.

PARENTS – This holiday season you can send the Bonita High School Marching Band to serenade your friends, neighbors, or co-workers with a medley of holiday songs OR add some music to your own holiday party or family gathering.  Contact Mr. Bird at j.bird@bonita.k12.ca.us and see the attached flyer for more information and spread some holiday cheer!!

SENIOR PARENTSDon’t forget to submit and purchase your Senior Dedication Page for the yearbook.  Deadline is this Friday December 11th.  Order forms are available at the front desk or can be accessed on the school website:  Bonitahigh.net.

PARENTS – Bonita HS Personalized Pavers are now on sale for only $150 each. Have your name engraved on a paver for our “Walk of Fame” in the entrance of the school. Hurry, because there are only 7 spots left in our original “Walk of Fame”. We will install pavers once we reach our goal. Forms are available at the front desk. COLLEGE & CAREER

STUDENTS – See Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center for upcoming College visits.

STUDENTS – If you are interested in attending Mt SAC you should contact Mrs. O’Grady or your counselor to sign up for the Connect 4 program which offers workshops on Bonita campus that lead to priority registration. The first workshop is tomorrow December 9th.

ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS AND PARENTS – We have one week left to fill our holiday baskets through the Time of Giving.  Please bring your donations in quickly so we can meet the needs of our families in need.  We will focus each day on a specific need, so this week we are looking for turkey baking tins and aluminum foil.  Donations can be dropped off in any classroom that has a red sign on the door or in Room 704.
