Several clubs and programs at Bonita have experienced success in their Spring competitions.
D Street State Champions
On April 30th at Knott’s Berry Farm D Street Dance Team placed first in senior hip hop and became Division Champions (over 5 teams) with a record of 92/100 points. Further on in the competition D Street won both Grand Championship (over 17 teams) and became the STATE CHAMPS! It was a hard earned win. Not only have they practiced for months but they got called on too soon which can throw performers off, then the music cut out during the last 30 seconds which can REALLY throw performers off! But instead they went for it, started singing the lyrics (the team members that weren’t performing really helped with this too) and they stayed together for the win.
Athletic Training Team
Congratulations to the Athletic Training Team for their 3rd place finish in their competition on the weekend of April 17th against 44 other schools and 646 students. Three students finished in the top 5:
- 3rd place – Jewlyssa P.
- 4th place – Kelsey M.
- 5th place – Jenna G.

Autocross Race Team Has Fastest Times
Another awesome, successful race day on Saturday with the BHS Autocross Team! Again, this is not a high school competition, students volunteer their time for the love, and commitment to the sport. Congratulate Charisma M. for having the fastest times of the weekend and special thanks to Mr. Sanchez for visiting the kids at the track, Mr. Greg Algorri and family for lending us the trailer we need to tow the Celica, and the Manriquez family for the continued support and awesome cook out!
