“WHAT’S NEW”
LIBRARY – ALL textbooks are due now! The library is open 8am-3:45pm daily for textbook and library book returns. If you forget by the last day of school, the library will be open on Friday, June 9th from 8am-12noon for all last-minute returns.
GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS- will be this Friday, June 9th at 10am in the New Gym.
“BHS NEWS”
GRADUATION LEIS- the Class of 2023 will be graduating in Bonita’s stadium on June 8th. If you would like to purchase a graduation flower lei or kukui nut lei for your graduate, they are available at: https://www.thecommencementgroup.com/bonita/ at graduation you will be able to pick up your items inside the stadium. Graduates will not be allowed to wear any flowers or leis during the ceremony, once the ceremony is over, they can wear flower leis, etc. If you have questions, please contact Julie Pocino at j.pocino@bonita.k12.ca.us. The last day to order is Tuesday, June 6th at 5:00pm
GRADUATION- The gates will open at 5:45pm, everyone needs a ticket to enter the stadium. The gates will not be left open at 7:00pm when graduation starts. The ceremony will be live streamed for those not able to come.
FINAL EXAMS- are this week on Wednesday, June 7 and Thursday, June 8. We will be on a minimum day schedule with periods 1, 2, 3 on Wednesday and periods 4, 6, 7 on Thursday. School will be dismissed at 12:50pm both days. Students who are absent for finals will need to come in the week of June 12 to take the final exams. The school will reach out to schedule days and times. Students will not be allowed to take final exams early.
YEARBOOKS ARE HERE! Students can pick up pre-ordered yearbooks from Mrs. Oualline’s room (705). If you didn’t purchase one at registration, we have a limited number of extra yearbooks for sale in the finance office for $130, cash or card. Get yours before they sell out. See flyer attached.
WORK PERMITS- June 2nd was the last day to turn in completed applications to the career center. Students can still pick up blank applications forms from the career center Monday – Thursday next week. Completed permit applications need to be turned in to the district office beginning 6/5 until 8/21.
HEALTH OFFICE REMINDER- Parents, if your student has medications stored in the Health Office, the last day for pick up is June 8th by 11 AM. Any medications not picked up by this date will be discarded. Please contact the Health Office if you have questions.
NO DROP OFFS- As a reminder, we do not allow any Student item drop offs. This includes food services (Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc). If you need to exchange something with your Student (Guardian or Emergency Contact in Aries), please let your student know ahead of time or via text to meet you in the main office. We are not able to call classrooms to remind Students to come up for drop offs or call them out of class. When coming in to exchange, please enter from the main office doors off of D Street. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. This allows us to keep our campus safe during the school day for all Students.
