BOYS & GIRLS SOCCER ALUMNI Game- Join in the fun on Saturday, January 7th at Glenn Davis Stadium. Varsity boys and girls will play against BHS soccer alumni! Kick off for girls is 11:30AM and boys at 2PM. Snack bar will be open for gourmet hot dogs, including bacon wrapped and other delicious treat. STUDENTS WHO TOOK PSAT IN OCTOBER- Bonita will be hosting a PSAT Score Review Night TONIGHT, Monday, December 12th to help you interpret your score results, provide tips to prepare for the real SAT, as well as learn about changes within college entrance exams. PEER TUTOR LUNCHEON- As we are fast approaching the end of our first semester and OFFICIALLY into the Holiday Season, we would like to show our appreciation for our Student PEER Tutors who volunteer their time helping others. With that said, we will be hosting a Holiday Luncheon on Tuesday, December 20th at BHS and are in need of donations! Please see attached flyer for additional details. DECEMBER DANCE SHOW- will be a “Holiday Carnival” featuring student choreography, dance class, and D Street Dance team. The performance is Wednesday, December 14th at the BCA. Tickets are on sale on their website and available at the door.
ARE YOU CHANGING SCHOOLS AFTER BREAK? Students who will be leaving BHS during winter break. Please see Mrs. Wences to assist in a smooth transition to your new school.
LIBRARY- the Literacy Highlight for December is “Cozy up with a book.” The wintery display features good reads for the season and books suggested by BHS staff and teachers. Not interesting enough? A sweet treat is given with every highlighted novel checked out while supplies last, so don’t wait!
CHRISTMAS MORNING VOLUNTEERS- Let’s help our city spread holiday cheer to all of our La Verne residents by delivering goodie bags on Christmas Morning! This program is only able to happen because of our volunteers. Volunteers must be able to walk for long periods of time, up and down streets. A signed waiver form is required to participate.
