CHRISTMAS MORNING VOLUNTEERS- Let’s help our city spread holiday cheer to all of our La Verne residents by delivering goodie bags on Christmas Morning! This program is only able to happen because of our volunteers. Volunteers must be able to walk for long periods of time, up and down streets. A signed waiver form is required to participate. “BHS NEWS”
THANKSGIVING BREAK- will be from Monday, November 21st through Friday, November 25th. School will resume on Monday, November 28th.
SOFTBALL- Anyone interested in trying out for Girls Softball this year, there is a mandatory meeting at lunch on Wednesday, November 16th in the new gym.
BAND- Congratulations to the Bonita High School Marching Bearcats for two spectacular performances this past weekend. The Marching Bearcats took first place band in division 5A on Friday at Duarte High School as well as 1st Place Percussion and on Saturday at Ramona High School, Color Guard earned a 2nd place finish in the 5A division. The Marching Bearcats have qualified for SCSBOA Championships in the 5A division and will compete this Saturday at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside. Good luck Bearcats!

RECREATION LEADER/ CITY OF LA VERNE JOBS- The City is currently accepting applications for Recreation Leader positions that will primarily be working youth sports.The minimum age to apply is 16 years old. Those interested can apply online at https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/cityoflaverne. The city will be accepting applications through next Wednesday, November 16th.
THE WOLVES- opens and runs for three evenings starting November 17th-November 19th at the BCA at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 7 PM! Tickets can be purchased at BonitaHigh.net. Hope to see you there!
STUDENT CHROMEBOOKS- There are NO daily checkouts or loaners for Chromebooks and chargers. The library is open for charging before school, during break, intervention, and lunch, but you may not take a charger to class with you. Please make sure to bring your devices fully charged every day.
LIBRARY- The literacy focus of the month is “Fantasy and other worlds.” There is something for everybody: royalty and rulers, dragons and knights, evil queens and twisted fairytales, and so much more. Visit the library to see the new display with two bookcases and check out a novel. Stay tuned for events throughout the month.
FOOD DELIVERY FOR STUDENT LUNCHES- We do not allow food delivery services here on campus or to meet a Student during school hours. If food is delivered from one of these services (Uber eats, door dash, etc.) the food will be refused at buyer’s expense. If Students are caught receiving a food delivery from a food service listed above during school hours, it may result in a detention.
“BHS ATHLETICS”
ATHLETIC CLEARANCE AND PHYSICAL FORMS- Please make sure your physical AND athletic clearance on file with our athletics office BEFORE try outs. If both are not turned in together completed, the physical will be considered incomplete. No exceptions will be made. Once turned in, please allow 4 to 5 business days to be processed. All completed physical packet should be turned in to the front desk with Ms. Ashlie. Please see attached forms or visit gobearcats.org for additional information.
