“WHAT’S NEW”
STUDENTS- Come out and support your Bearcat Wrestlers against the Saints at home on Thursday, Dec. 2nd! Let’s pack out the gym as we try to regain the Railroad Tie for the boys team and finally secure the Golden Spike for the girls wrestling team! JVs will start at 5 pm in the main gym, followed by the ladies and then the boys varsity team! Let’s get it done! Awww Yeah, Bearcats!
STUDENTS AND PARENTS- On December 7th & 8th at 7:00pm, ALL 160 of our award-winning Bearcat Singers will present YULETIDE, an inspiring evening of seasonal favorites, new and old! Ring in the holiday season with Chorale, Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, Concert, Chamber Singers, and our featured soloists! Tickets are available NOW for purchase at bonitacenterforthearts.com. We hope YOU will join us this year to enjoy the sights and sounds of our Bearcat Singers in BHS Choral Music’s YULETIDE!
JUNIORS- BHS will be hosting an SAT Prep Class starting January 18th which will lead in to the March 2nd SAT Exam. Classes will be held in person at Bonita every Tuesday from 6-8pm from January 18th-February 22nd. The cost of the course is $250. Please refer to the attached flyer to register for the class. Payment must be made to the Finance office no later than Friday January 14th. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.
JUNIORS– The March School Day SAT will occur on campus for juniors only. To register for the SAT, students must use their Google account to access this form, https://forms.gle/VMNbjgEGAYmWs7RD7. Registration closes at 11:59 PM, December 9, or until capacity is reached.
ATHLETES interested in baseball– Tryouts will be held Monday, December 13 through Wednesday, December 15 from 2:45pm to 4:45pm at the Varsity baseball field. In order to participate in tryouts, athletes must have completed the Athletic Clearance process on www.gobearcats.org which includes online forms as well as a physical dated after June 1, 2021. In addition, athletes must show proof of vaccination or participate in COVID testing at school. Testing will be offered Tuesday, December 7th or Friday, December 10th from 1:30 to 3:30 pm behind the old gym. No athletes will be permitted to tryout if they do not have athletic clearance and COVID clearance. “BHS NEWS”
BOYS & GIRLS SOCCER ALUMNI GAMES- the deadline to RSVP is this Friday, Dec 3rd by emailing bonita.soccer.2021@gmail.com. The games are on Friday, December 17th at Glenn Davis Stadium. The girls game is at 5:30pm and the boys at 7:00pm.
ALL STUDENTS- with an off campus lunch pass must present their ID card when leaving campus, a picture of the ID card will no longer be acceptable. The actual ID card must be produced.
PARENTS & GUARDIANS OF SENIORS- This is a special reminder for the Class of 2022. The last discounted deadline for submitting your child’s senior yearbook recognition ad is coming up very soon, on December 2nd. STUDENTS AND PARENTS– Please be aware that December 16 & 17, the last two days of the semester, are reserved for final exams. Parents are urged to avoid removing students from school for vacation or other non-essential reasons. If a student is absent, make-up final exams will occur during the week of January 10 – students will not be permitted to take a final exam before the assigned day.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- boys and girls Smudge Cup Match is Wednesday, December 1st for boys and girls soccer at Glenn Davis Stadium. Girls game at 4:00pm and boys 6:00pm.
BOOSTER MEETING- Our next meeting will be on Thursday, December 9th, 6:30pm in the Student Union.
PARENTS- Athletic event tickets will all be sold ONLINE only. You can purchase your tickets from www.gofan.co and look up Bonita High School events. Tickets will be redeemed on your electronic device at the gate/entrance by our staff member. You will need to show the actual ticket not a screen shot or picture.
