Advanced Placement Requirements/Reminders

Things to Do Before Exam Day

(1)    All students MUST be able to log into their College Board account linked with their AP Classroom. If they forgot their password, please have them click “Forgot Password”. If that still does not work, they will need to call the Student Helpline to reset it. 888-225-5427

(2)    All students MUST link their personal email address to their College Board account, if not already done so. DO NOT create a new account and DO NOT use your school issued email address.

Directions to change email address:

  • Log into your College Board account.
  • Click your name on the top right corner.
  • Click account settings
  • Scroll down to email. Change to personal email
  • Scroll down and hit Update

(3)    Students must link their College Board account to (Bonita High School)

Directions to link your account to (Bonita High School):

  • Log into your College Board account
  • Click My AP Profile
  • Click Registration Tab
  • Scroll down to school – make sure it says (Bonita High School). School code is (051370)
  • Scroll down and hit Save

(4)    Seniors – The deadline to send your ONE free score report to the colleges of your choice is June 20th. To send them, log into your College Board account, click My AP Profile then the tab at the top labeled Send Scores. Deadline to send your free score report is June 20, 2020

Directions to Send Scores:

  • Log into your College Board account.
  • Click My AP Profile
  • Click Score Send
  • Search the College/University name
  • Hit Save

  • Exam Format
    • Students can use their own device (computer, tablet, chromebook or smartphone).
    • Students will need to access the online testing system 30 minutes prior to exam start time in order to get set up.
    • Students will have an option to submit by typing and uploading or handwriting and taking a photo. More information will be shared with students on The College Board website.
    • Most exams students will have 45 minutes PLUS an additional 5 minutes for uploading.
      • Previously approved College Board accommodations are being automatically applied.
  • Exam Security
    • Tests will be open note/open book
    • Students cannot consult with anyone during the testing time; students cannot consult websites and other source material.
    • Plagiarism detection software will be used.
    • Consequences for violating exam security….
      • Cancelled scores
      • Blocked from College Board and taking other exams in the future (SAT, AP exams)
      • Informing current high school and applied colleges of the infraction.
  • Misc classes
    • Art Design 2D, Art Design 3D, Computer Science Principles, Drawing, Research, and Seminar
      • Portfolio submissions due May 26th by 8:59pm.
      • No online exam.
      • Contact your teacher for additional information on submitting portfolios/projects.
    • World Language and Culture exams
      • Students will complete two spoken tasks consistent with their FRQ’s. Note, students will need to use a tablet or cell phone – obtain the app beforehand.
