PARENTS – Our monthly Coffee with the Principal will be next Friday, March 4th in the conference room.  Please join us to discuss topics on the BHS campus in an open forum.

PARENTS – if you were not able to purchase a senior dedication in December this is your final chance.  Yearbook will be accepting Senior Dedications for a limited time the deadline is March 4th.  Please see the yearbook page on school website to print the order form. Please note that every full page AD helps every senior receive a book.  Payments need to be made to the finance office.  Thanks for supporting the yearbook!

PARENTS – Parent Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday, March 2nd from 5:00 to 6:45pm, each conference is 15 minutes long.  Please email Debbie Nix at nix@bonita.k12.ca.us or call her at 909-971-8220 ext 2054 to schedule your appointments with your student’s teachers or his/her Student Services Coordinator.

PARENTS CAREER DAY speakers needed.  We are looking for community members, parents, and industry professionals who can volunteer their time to share their career choices with students in grades 9-12. The event will be Friday, March 25th between 9:30-11am. Please contact Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center to volunteer or for more information. 909-971-8220 ext. 2065 ogrady@bonita.k12.ca.us.

PARENTS OF INCOMING FRESHMEN – Parent Information Night is Tuesday, March 15th.  Sports and Activities Information Fair at 4:30pm; we will have representatives from our athletic and activity programs.  Parents will be able to sign up to receive information on summer programs.  Taco Man will be on campus, please join us for dinner.  At 6:30pm there will be a general information meeting for parents in the gym..

STUDENTS – Last chance for literary love!  New books have arrived for the library’s Blind Date with a Book!  Be sure to return Rate Your Date slips by this Friday, Feb 26th.

STUDENTS – if you are looking for an elective that gives you a head start on business courses at the university level, learn how to do your own taxes, run your own business and do community service through the IRS see Mrs. Sekhri in room 906 or your counselor.

STUDENTS CSF dues may be paid through Friday in the Finance Office.

STUDENTS – Registration for AP exams is now through Wednesday, March 2nd.  Permission slips must be signed by your parents and turned into the Finance office along with your payment.  Fee reduction forms are available for students in the Free/Reduced lunch program.  There is a fee of $15 for each canceled test.  Any questions regarding payments, exams or fee forms, please see

STUDENTSDid you have a job last year?  The accounting kids can do your taxes for free. Please see Mrs. Sekhri in room 906 for more information.

STUDENTS – Save the date for the Spring Show “The Mouse that Roared” with show dates March 3rd, 4th, and 5th.  The show will take place at the Bonita Center for the Arts: 822 W Covina Blvd, San Dimas, CA 91773

SENIORS – Grad Nite 2016…..”A Nite at the Carnival”, Thursday, June 9th, 10pm-5:30am.  Tickets $160.00.  Questions: Debbie Moran 909/638-9247 debmoran3@aol.com

STUDENTS AND PARENTS – don’t forget to PREORDER your yearbook.  Yearbooks sell out every year. $100 with ASB/$120 without.  Payment should be made to the finance office.

STUDENTS- There are currently 158 BHS students who have perfect attendance and qualify for the “COOL to be in School” contest.  If you are one of those students, there are only 50 actual school days until May 6th when the contest ends, and your name will be entered into the drawing to win a brand new Chevy Spark!!  Last year we sent 99 students to the drawing and we would love to top that number this year!  The perfect attendance list is posted in the front office.  Stop by and see if you qualify.  If your name is not on the list and you think that you have perfect attendance, please see Mr. Hanson.

 

COLLEGE AND CAREER

SENIORS Students interested in applying to Mt. Sac who did not complete the Connect 4 program should see Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center or their counselor before Friday, February 26th.

STUDENTS – A rep from Cal Poly Pomona will be in the Career Center on Friday Feb. 26th during lunch. Any students interested in learning more about Cal Poly is welcome to attend.

STUDENTS – The ASVAB Scoreback will be on Friday during 1st period. Students who took the ASVAB should attend.

 

ACTIVITIES

STUDENTS – Tickets may be purchased through lunch today for the Rooter Bus going to Calabasas for Round 3 CIF basketball playoff game this Friday.  $15.00 ticket covers transportation and admission to the game

GIRLS SOCCER – banquet will be Wednesday, March, 9th, 6pm – 9-pm, at Sierra La Verne Country Club.  The cost is $25 per person in the Finance Office, the deadline to purchase tickets will be February 25th.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.  If you have any questions please contact; Jenny White at jenny.white242@verizon.net
