Monday, February, 15 is a holiday.

Tuesday, February 23 is a minimum day.

PARENTS – Parent Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday, March 2nd from 5:00 to 6:45pm, each conference is 15 minutes long.  Please email Debbie Nix at nix@bonita.k12.ca.us or call her at 909-971-8220 ext 2054 to schedule your appointments with your student’s teachers or his/her Student Services Coordinator.

PARENTS – On February 22nd the La Verne Police Dept will be hosting a Social Media for Parent Night at Bonita High School.  The event will be from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, please see attached flyer.  The intention for the event is to give our parents an understanding of the dangers of social media, how our children are using it, and the latest trends.  This is a parent only event, food and free babysitting will be provided on site by the city.

PARENTS – CAREER DAY speakers needed.  We are looking for community members, parents, and industry professionals who can volunteer their time to share their career choices with students in grades 9-12. The event will be Friday, March 25th between 9:30-11am. Please contact Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center to volunteer or for more information. 909-971-8220 ext. 2065 ogrady@bonita.k12.ca.us.

PARENTS OF INCOMING FRESHMEN – Parent Information Night is Tuesday, March 15th.  Sports and Activities Information Fair at 4:30pm; we will have representatives from our athletic and activity programs.  Parents will be able to sign up to receive information on summer programs.  Taco Man will be on campus, please join us for dinner.  At 6:30pm there will be a general information meeting for parents in the gym.

PARENTS – April 4th– 8th is Spring Recess.

PARENTS – Save the date, Summer school is June 13th thru July 15th.

STUDENTS – SENIORS- Mr. Archibald is available in Room 204 during intervention to help with research paper revisions.   If you need help with your paper, please come to the writing lab in Room 204 to get the help you need.

STUDENTS – Pre-registration

 

  • Please be sure that you only register for six classes on-line except for period 0 and the after school Theater Occupations classes.

 

Students that select more than six classes may lose registration to the oversubscribed course.

You can make on-line changes until Monday, Feb 15, midnight.   The hand written copy of the pre-registration form is due in the office on Tuesday, Feb. 16th.

Students who are not pre-registered by Tuesday will be placed on waiting lists for over-subscribed classes.

STUDENTS – Donate Life Club will be meeting Wednesday, Feb. 17th at lunch in room 708.  We will be having hands on CPR by Pomona Valley Hospital and pizza afterwards.

STUDENTS – Representatives from the Air Force will be on campus during lunch on Wednesday, Feb 17th for students interested in speaking with them.

STUDENTS – Registration for Advanced Placement Tests is now through Tuesday, March 2nd.

STUDENTS – Did you have a job last year?  The accounting kids can do your taxes for free. Please see Mrs. Sekhri in room 906 for more information.

STUDENTS – Save the date for the Spring Show “The Mouse that Roared” with show dates March 3rd, 4th, and 5th.  The show will take place at the Bonita Center for the Arts: 822 W Covina Blvd, San Dimas, CA 91773

SENIOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS – need help submitting the FAFSA Application? We will be holding 2- Evening Workshops for families needing assistance with the process. Please contact Vanessa Tilford (BHS counselor) to reserve your spot! Email: Tilford@bonita.k12.ca.us and Include: 1) Student name, 2) Parent Name, 3) Workshop date desired, and 4) who will be attending

2015 tax forms (or 2014 if you have not yet filed) for both students and parents.

ACTIVITIES

GIRLS SOCCER – banquet will be Wednesday, March, 9th, 6pm – 9-pm, at Sierra La Verne Country Club, please arrive by 5:30 for check-in.  The cost is $25 per person in the Finance Office, the deadline to purchase tickets will be February 25th.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.  If you have any questions please contact; Jenny White at jenny.white242@verizon.net
