I will be posting specific instructions for my class during our extended school dismissal here, in Aeries, and also in Google Classroom.

1. Solving Quadratic Equations [A-CED.1] See Problems 2-65a, 2-105a & b, 2-128 in textbook
2. Finding the points of intersections of 2 functions LINEAR/QUADRATIC [A-REI.11] See Problem 1-115b in textbook
3. Given a parent graph, write the equation in graphing form & identify the domain & range. [F-BF.3 & A-CED.2] See Problem 2-44 {find the domain & range of these graphs also}

The Chapter 2 Test is Thursday, 10-3-19. It was announced last week.
For a copy of the Closure Problems we practiced in class today, go to Google Classroom. The solutions have also been posted in Google Classroom.

Chapter 2 Test will be on Thursday, October 3, 2019.
How can students prepare for the test?
1. Do lots of practice problems!!! Go through the homework problems from chapter 2 and redo them!!!
2. deltamath.com has assignments related to chapter 2 as well.
3. Come to Mrs. Verti's classroom during intervention Monday thru Wednesday to do practice problems on the whiteboards
4. Go to the free after school tutoring in the library and work on the homework problems from chapter 2.

Class Note - 08/28/19

Tuesday the students took their first quiz, on Standard F-IF.4. They were given their quizzes back in class with the answer keys to make notes and understand any mistakes. The next quiz on this standard will be on Friday, 8-30-19.

School Dismissal Assignment
Due: Monday April 06, 2020
Students are to look at their grades (so far) and identify any standards that need to be improved.
Do either the textbook problems or DeltaMath problems for that standard.
When we return, students may reassess and replace scores for any standards that they have completed the extra practice.
This is also in the Google Classroom. I've also given students a practice Math SAT for students who would like to use this time to study for the SAT or college entrance math exams.
3 week school dismissal
