Class Description

Students, at the completion of Freshmen English 9, will be able to proficiently read literature and informational texts; write summaries, analysis of themes, research papers, and speeches; develop listening skills to obtain information and take notes efficiently and communicate effectively through discussion and speeches. Freshman year is a critical year in your academic career because it is the foundation in which all the information you will encounter for ALL your subjects will be based. You will learn skills that will benefit you in Geography, Biology, History, etc. You start your journey towards college and career readiness now. My goal for each individual student is to achieve academic success in all subjects; this will look different for everyone. However, my expectations are 100% effort and personal accountability.
