Class Description

Welcome to Integrated Math 2!!! This student centered course is the second of a 3 course program. During this course students will formalize and extend the geometry learned in previous courses by focusing on establishing triangle congruence criteria using rigid motions and formal constructions and building formal understanding of similarity. Students will develop the concept of formal proof, explore the properties of 2D and 3D objects, prove basic theorems about circles, and use the language of set theory to compute and interpret probabilities for compound events. Students will use problem-solving strategies, analyze critically, learn in collaboration with others, and justify their thinking.
