STUDENTS

 

PSAT- Students who have registered for the PSAT may pick up a Student Guide in the attendance office.  The guide contains important information about the PSAT and a mock exam for you to practice.  The PSAT exam will occur on campus on Wednesday, October 16, in both gyms.  More information to follow.

 

STUDENTS AND PARENTS-  Please be aware that counselors will be attending a series of conferences over the next two weeks and will be unavailable: Wednesday, Sept. 18, until 12:30 PM; Thursday, Sept. 19, until 12:30; Friday, Sept. 20, all day.  You may email any concerns that need addressing to the counselors and Mr. Pizzolo; also any administrator can help address immediate concerns.  Thank you for understanding.

 

JUNIORS AND SENIORS & PARENTS/ SAT  PREP CLASS- Are you interested in improving your SAT SCORE? Bonita will be hosting an SAT Prep Class this FALL in preparation for the December 7^th SAT Exam. See the attached flyer for details. Space is limited to the first 30 students; the cost of the course is $250 and must be paid to the finance office by Monday September 30^th.

 

PARENTS

PARENTS- As a reminder, please make sure we are not dropping off Students in the staff parking lot or parking in staff parking spaces.

PARENTS OF SENIORS-  If you would like to purchase a Senior Ad for the yearbook visit www.TheYearbookCompany.com.  Space is limited.  Early bird prices are until November 15^th then prices go up.  Final day for placing an order is December 13^th.  Thank you for supporting the yearbook.

PARENTS- We do not accept drop off or forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the front office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.

 

CAREER CENTER

FAFSA WORKSHOP- Get FREE help filling out your financial aid application! High school seniors and parents are encouraged to attend this event to obtain assistance with completing the FAFSA/CA Dream Act Application. Staff will assist students and parents in a group setting. See attached flyer. Mt. San Antonio College, 1100 North Grand Avenue, Walnut, CA 91789-Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 9am!

COLLEGE VISITS- Please see the attached form for upcoming college visits. See Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center at break or lunch to sign up.

 

ACTIVITIES

BONFIRE-The Bonfire is going to be today from 6:00 – 8:00pm in the field below the tennis courts. There will be taco man, nachos, hot dogs, Cookie Crave cookies, snacks, games, performances by D street, Cheer, and Band.  And the first 100 people there will get a free gift card to Chick Fil A.

BHS MARCHING BAND- will be hosting a fundraiser at Blaze Pizza in La Verne on September 16^th from 12 PM-9PM. Show flier attached when purchasing and 205 of proceeds will go back to our program. Grab some good grub and show your support for our Marching Bearcats!

SMUDGEPOT FOOTBALL TICKETS- Tickets are on sale at the front desk with Mrs. Venegas for our upcoming Smudgepot game vs. San Dimas High. Tickets are $10 per adult and $7 per child, cash only.  Students with ASB are free. Office hours are 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Today is the  last day to purchase tickets in the office before 12 PM- Noon. The game is Saturday, September 14^th at 7 PM at Citrus College.

DODGEBALL- Our Dodgeball tournament will be September 17 – October 3rd.  If you’re interested in signing up, head over to the ASB room during break or after lunch.
