KAPLAN SAT/ACT COMBO TEST- Deciding between the SAT or ACT? Take Kaplan’s SAT / ACT Combo test to help you decide. The test is Saturday September 15th from 9:00 – 12:45pm here at BHS. Cost is $20.00 and space is limited.  Deadline to register is Monday September 10th. See the front desk for flyer and registration information.

SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS- The PSAT/NMSQT exam will be administered on campus on Wednesday, October 10th (see attached registration form.)  Registration is limited to 350 students; cost of the exam is $30 and is payable in the Finance Office.  Registration closes on Wednesday, September 5th.

STUDENTS-Any student who did not receive their ID card, can come to the finance office during lunch or after school.

STUDENTS- Off campus passes and parking permits will be distributed in the student union beginning Thursday, August 30th.  No passes will be distributed early. Those Students who have filled out an application for a parking permit will be permitted to park until they receive an approved parking permit.

STUDENTS- BHS will be a closed campus from August 29th thru August 30th. No Students will be allowed off campus until August 30th with the appropriate pass. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS- Deadline to register for the ACT class is September 18th. For complete course schedules and how to register pick up a flyer at the front desk.

 

PARENTS

PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. We will not be able to make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.

 

CAREER CENTER

STUDENTS- The following schools will be visiting the Career Center this week. Please sign up with Mrs. O’Grady’s sub, Ms. Mireles-Torres if you are interested in attending their presentation.

Wednesday, September 5th Pepperdine University; 6th period

University of San Francisco; 7th period

STUDENTS- Please see Mrs. O’Grady’s sub, Ms. Mireles-Torres in the Career Center to pick up this year’s work permits during lunch.

STUDENTS- The After School Peer Tutoring Program is now hiring tutors. To apply please pick up an application from Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center during 5th or lunch.

 

ACTIVITES

DRAMA- Auditions for the Fall Musical Guys & Dolls will be held this week.

Come today to the Student Union, afterschool. Today will be between 1-4 pm, and Wednesday between 4-7 pm. For more info meet with Mr. Frederick in room 801.

CLUBS- Club Rush will be held today, Wednesday, August 30th during lunch. Students will not be able to leave campus during lunch unless signed out in the office by a Parent or Guardian.

 

ATHLETICS

BOYS SOCCER- tryouts will be Friday, August 31st from 4:00-5:30 PM. Any interested athletes that are not in a fall sport must attend! Another tryout will be held for fall athletes after season.

FOOTBALL TICKETS-Smudgepot tickets are available in the front office for $10 for adults and $7  for children ages 5-12. Students with an ASB from Bonita will be admitted for FREE! Purchase your San Dimas rivalry shirt when you buy your Smudgepot Tickets for $12.

PTSA

PAVERS- Don’t miss out on the special registration offer on a personalized paver. Please see the attached flyer or pick one up at the front desk with Mrs. Venegas. Prices go up on Saturday, September 1st.

E-WASTE EVENT- PTSA is holding an E-waste event on September 1 and 2 in the staff parking lot. Time to get rid of all those electronic items you’ve been holding on to for too long. Please see Mrs. Venegas at the front desk for more information.

BENEFIT APP- Another way to support the Bonita PTSA is to get the benefit app. Use the app to make purchases at your favorite stores at no cost to you and Bonita PTSA will receive a percentage. Please see Mrs. Venegas at the front desk for more information.
