STUDENTS

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- Our Student parking lot is now full for the 2017-2018 school year. We will not be accepting any more parking permit applications or payments for parking permits.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. See the attached bell schedule for times.

SENIORS Your transcripts have been updated on the Parchment website to reflect the 2017 Fall Semester. To see the update, log into your Parchment account and choose the UPDATE option while viewing your transcript. Please see Mrs. Wences if you have any questions.

STUDENTS- Students if you need Free Tax Help, please see Mrs. Sekhri in Room 906.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- Bonita High School is now offering Saturday Academy.  Students can get additional assistance in classes you are enrolled in, recover instruction or get support on assignments that were not fully understood.  Course offerings will change each week, depending on instructor availability.  Be sure to check the web site weekly for classes offered.  To sign up, go to our web site.  See flyer attached.

PARENTS

PARENTS- our calendar has been updated, our Career Day on Wednesday, March 28th will be a regular school day with a release time of 2:35pm it will not be a minimum day like previously stated, sorry for the confusion.

PARENTS OF INCOMING FRESHMEN- there will be an information night on Wednesday, March 14th.  Starting at 5:00pm in the center Quad there will be a Sports and Activities Information Fair, sign ups to receive information on summer programs and Taco Man.  At 6:15pm in Ketterling Court Gymnasium there will be a parent information meeting to hear more about our extraordinary school, answers to your registration questions and more.  Please come and get acquainted with Bonita.

ACTIVITIES

TAX HELP- Bonita High School is announcing a Tax Day on Friday, March 23, 2018. This involves the Accounting students doing free tax returns for community members with income below $54,000. Students are working through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. They have gone through extensive training and have passed the IRS volunteer examination and are certified as Volunteer preparers. We have three sets of appointments starting at 9:45, 10:45 and 11:45.The link to get information/ appointments is goo.gl/H7eKg1 . Also tax payers can call 1-909-971-8220 to get an appointment.

SENIORS AND PARENTS- Grad Night will be at Dave and Busters in Ontario.  Spend one last time with your fellow classmates, Thursday evening, June 7 starting at 10pm until 5:00am the next day.  Cost is $150 up to March 22nd and $170 up to June 1st; check or cash only payable in the Finance Office to Mrs. Lohman.  Be sure to include your child’s name and grad night in the memo section.  All checks should be made payable to Bonita Boosters.  This is a private event for just Bonita High 2018 Grads.  Completed permission slip should be included with payment.  See attached flyer for all details.

SENIORS- There are three great scholarship opportunities available to seniors who are current PTA members. First District scholarship applications are available online at http://pta1.org/. All applications for the First District PTA scholarship are to be turned into the front office no later than Tuesday, March 23, 2018. SENIORS- the Rotary Club is sponsoring a $1,000 a year scholarship for all 4 years for a 2018 BHS graduating Senior. Please see Mrs. O’Grady in the career center to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

CAREER CENTER

ASVAB- Students who took the ASVAB must attend the score session on Wednesday during 6th period in the library.

SAC CONNECT 4- Assessment testing is Thursday, March 15th from 7th period -3:30 in the Library.

RAGING WATERS JOBS- Reps will be here on Thursday at lunch with information on how to get a job at Raging Waters.

ARMY REPRESENTATIVES- will be here at lunch on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018. Sign up in the Career Center to attend.

CAREER DAY- Registration for Career Day sessions (March 28th) are now open. Go to the Bonita website to register. See schedule below.

 ATHLETICS

CHEER AND SONG- banquet will be on Thursday, April 12th at Hillcrest Retirement Community in La Verne.  Tickets are $25 per attendee. All team members will need a ticket to attend. Senior team members will receive one complimentary ticket. The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday, March 21st. Please make check payable to Bonita High School and turn in the money to Mrs. Lohman in the Finance office. SENIORS, be sure to RSVP with Mrs. Lohman if you plan to attend.

BOYS BASKETBALL- will be hosting their banquet for all levels on Monday, April 16th at san Dimas Canyon Golf Club from 6PM to 9 PM. Tickets are $25 per person and the money is payable to Bonita High School with Mrs. Lohman in the finance office by Monday, April 2nd.

BOYS SOCCER ALL LEVELS- The year end banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 20th at 6pm at Sierra La Verne.  Cost will be $10 per player that purchased a spirit pack.  All other attendees will be $25.  The last day to make a payment is Thursday, March 8th.  Please turn your money into the Finance office.  Checks payable to Bonita High and please write your child’s name in the memo section.
