SENIORS AND PARENTS- BHS will be offering a Financial Aid (FAFSA) Information Night on Wednesday, November 8th from 6:30 PM-7:30 PM in the Student Union. Information on tips for completing the FAFSA application and the steps to take after submitting the application will be provided.  This presentation can be especially helpful to those who have already started the application.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. See the attached bell schedule for times.

 

PARENTS

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES- are Thursday, November 2nd, you may schedule 10 minute conferences with your student’s teachers or counselor by visiting: www.bonitahigh.net. The conferences start at 12:40 PM and the last appointment is at 7:50 PM.

PARENTS- Thursday, November 2nd is a minimum day for Parent/ Teacher conferences; Student release is 12:00pm.  Friday, November 3rd is a Student/Teacher free day.

PARENTS OF SENIORS- The yearbook is currently accepting Senior Dedications at a special early bird price. If you are interested in purchasing a space in the yearbook for your senior, please visit https://theyearbookcompany.com to submit your information. It will prompt you to a page to order, please look for Bonita High School and enter our phone number, 909-971-8220 in order to access order page. Early bird pricing ends in November and space is first come first serve.

 

ACTIVITIES

BLOOD DRIVE-Anatomy is hosting its annual fall blood drive on Monday, October 30th in the Student Union from 12 PM -6 PM with City of Hope hospital. We would love for you to participate. Appointments can be booked using this link: BONITA HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULE

Requirements for ALL DONORS:

  • weigh over 120 pounds
  • a photo ID
  • Eating something nutritious and drinking plenty of water before giving blood

If a donor is between the ages of 16 and 17 they must have a signed permission slip (please see attached). It takes between 45-60 minutes to donate blood. City of Hope gives all donors snacks and a gift. Thank you in advance for saving lives!

STUDENTS- Free peer tutoring is available for all students, Monday-Thursday, from 2:45-3:45 PM.  Evening tutoring is available as well on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-7 pm. No sign up required, just show up. Tutoring is held in the Library.

 

ATHLETICS

FIELD HOCKEY- The banquet will be held at Sierra La Verne Country Club on November 9th at 6 PM.  Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased with Mrs. Lohman in the finance office before Thursday, November 2nd.

GIRLS SOCCER- Girls interested in trying out for Soccer this year, tryouts will be held from Monday, October 30th– Friday, November 3rd at 3 PM. Please make sure your completed physical is turned in, including online registration before tryouts. Details on the location of tryouts to follow.

BOYS SOCCER- Tryouts begin Monday, November 6th at 3pm. Please make sure that prior to participation all Students have registered online, completed physical/health history form, and be cleared through the athletic department.
