STUDENTS

JUNIOR AND SENIOR STUDENTS- BHS and Kaplan Test Prep will be holding a Fall SAT prep class in preparation for the November 4th SAT here at BHS. The class will be Tuesdays and Thursdays starting October 10th through November 2nd. Cost is $360.00 and space is limited. Deadline to register is Sept. 22. More information and Flyers are at the front desk.

STUDENTS- SAT/ACT Combo practice Test: Deciding between the SAT or ACT? Take Kaplan’s SAT and ACT Combo test to help you decide. The test is Saturday September 16th from 9:00 – 12:45pm. Cost is $20.00. More information and Flyers are at the front desk.

STUDENTS- Mr. Cisneros is looking for Teacher aides periods 2-7th. Please see him in room 604 during break or lunch if you are interested.

STUDENTS- Miss Holk is looking for Teacher aides for 1-2nd and 4-7th periods. Please see her at break or lunch in the Girls P.E. locker room if you are interested.

STUDENTS- Mrs. Sekhri is looking for Teacher aides for Periods 1-6. Please see her in room 906 at break or lunch if you are interested.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS- We do not accept drop off/ forgotten items in the front office. If you need to get an item to your Student, please coordinate with your child to meet in the Office during break or lunch. See the attached bell schedule for times.

PARENTS- Back to School Night is Monday, August 28th

  • 6:30pm All General Parents Meeting in Ketterling Court (new gym)
  • 7:00pm-8:30pm Classroom Visits

 

PARENTS- Our first compact day will be August 28th. Students will be released at 1:35 PM. Please see the attached bell schedule for classroom times.

PARENTS- Please be advised that there is no pick up, drop off, or open parking in the south parking lot as this is an assigned staff parking lot. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

PARENTS- There is no school Monday, September 4th as we will be honoring Labor Day.

 

ACTIVITIES

WELCOME BONFIRE- ASB will be hosting our annual Welcome Bonfire this Friday, August 25th from 6-9 PM on the upper soccer fields (field 2). There will be music, games, food, and our bonfire. The event is free, but please bring money (cash) if you would like to purchase any food or drinks.

DEN TAILGATE- ASB will be hosting our first Den tailgate on Saturday, August 26th before the Smudge Pot game in the Student parking lot. Tailgate will be from 4-6 PM and we will offer bussing to and from Citrus College to go and support our Bearcats. If you have not purchased a Den pack and would like to, it would be $20 in the Finance Office with Mrs. Lohman.

WELCOME WEEK DRESS- In celebration of our first week back to school and our upcoming Smudge Pot game we will be having dress up days our whole first week. Please see the dates/ dress below.

Thursday, August 24th– Bo-ho/ Tribe or Tie Dye

Friday, August 25th– Wear red, orange, or yellow

Saturday, August 26th– White out, wear all white in honor of our Smudge Pot game

CAREER CENTER

STUDENTS- All work permits will expire this Friday, August 25th (regardless of when they were issued). If you are currently working you must fill out a new application no later than Wednesday, August 23rd to continue to work. See Mrs. O’Grady in the Career Center.

ATHLETICS

BOYS VARSITY FOOTBALL- Please come out to our annual Smudge Pot game against San Dimas High School on Saturday, August 26th at 7 PM at Citrus College in Glendora. Tickets are now being offered in our Finance Office. Adults $10, Kids (13 and under) $7, Students with ASB are free.
