About Me

Mrs. Cooney is a Los Angeles native. She is trilingual and grew up in a multicultural household. Mrs. Cooney completed her bachelor's degree at California State University Northridge with a major in Deaf Studies and an emphasis in ASL/English Interpreting. She went on to complete her master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with her coursework in Sociology, Communication Studies, and Deaf Studies. Mrs. Cooney completed her degree with a focus on intercultural communication between deaf and hearing communities.  She has been teaching for the past six years. Natalie has taught in the state, private, and public educational setting.
