Students,

I hope everyone is enjoying a nice holiday today!!

This week you will have "three" Desmos activities.

1) The first one is related to "Sequences" where you will be doing a "card sort" for sequences.

2) The second one is related to a new topic/concept called "The Intermediate Value Theorem" and it will be a concept that comes up again in Calculus.

3) The last one will be an introduction and related to another concept called "Limits and Continuity" and it comes up in Calculus during the 1st part of the class and continues throughout the course.

Also, there will be no assignments for you next week!!

I hope you are staying safe and healthy,

Students,

I miss being in class with you and it looks like we will not get a chance to be in class together again for this semester :-(

I hope you are doing well especially staying safe and healthy during this time away from school, and I am sure that some of you are probably missing school by now and even miss hearing the "birthday" song in class :-)

Each week you will find that I will continue to provide assignments on the BHS website for you (like I have been doing since the 1st day of class).

Currently, I have assigned "three" Desmos activities for this week where you can earn some HW points for these assignments (over time you will find your grade can increase as you complete more assignments/activities and there will be some quizzes as well as some exam options provided for you later in the semester once I have found some safe and reliable ways to have you complete them).

It is important to keep up your math skills and face the mathematical challenges that will be presented to you for the remainder of the semester since you have worked really hard this semester to meet the mathematical standards and expectations required of you by me so that you will continue to attain success in your next math class.

I would also like to encourage you to reach out to your classmates especially the ones that you have teamed up with this semester in order to go over past, current, and future assignments and assessments.

Keep safe and healthy and don't forget to eat your apple slices :-)

Complete the Review Topics WS #1 and #2 for this week (nothing else will be assigned to you for this week).

Suggestions: Type in the directions for any problem into Google and/or YouTube for similar examples, if you don't remember how to work through the problem, and you should also look through your notes and old assignments since we have done all of these types of problems this semester.

I miss seeing each of you at school and I hope you are all staying safe and healthy!!

During this Spring Break, I would like you to take some time and look over your past assessments, and choose the 2 most challenging problems from each one for a total of 20 problems (if you find you had more than 10 assessments then stop at 20 Q's), then rework the problems again.

Ask yourself:

Did I remember how to work through it?

If yes, then did I change the way that I answered the problem the first time or did it stay the same?

Do I feel that I have a better understanding of the related concepts?

Do I feel that I need to go back and review the related material?

What section/chapter did it come from in the textbook?

If no, then did I need to look at my work again on the assessment and/or review my notes?

Hopefully, you will find that using this review strategy will keep you thinking about all of the things that you accomplished this semester :-)

I will start posting assignments again after Spring Break, so stay safe and enjoy the break!!

Students,

I have found some videos for you that should help you to improve your understanding about "Verifying" Trig Identities.

Make sure that you stop the videos and try working through the problems yourself (using scratch paper), and then see if you can try a different way to verify them, and then watch the video and compare your methods/strategies with the instructor's methods/strategies:
